In the northeast of Tenerife, the Anaga mountains wait for you to explore them. Starting in "Cruz del Carmen", the narrow walking path leads through the fascinating laurisilva forest, over vegetated mountain slopes, past deep gorges and stunning views on the sea. Walk to the cave village Chinamada, which was inhabited by the Guanche (the natives of Tenerife). Great hiking route through the Anaga Mountains in Tenerife

Explore the northeast of the Canary Island on foot: you start from Cruz del Carmen after being picked up with a free transfer from the south of Tenerife. This activity is a full day excursion, the pure walking time is about 4 hours. With your local and professional guide you will walk to the famous Laurisilva forest. You hike far away from civilisation and tourism. Time seems to have stood still in the middle of the Anaga mountains. You will pass deep gorges, green mountain slopes and primeval forests. The magic of this fairytale forest will inspire you and the wanderlust will grab you.

After a gigantic view with deep view on the sea you explore the cave village Chinamada, which reminds of the natives, the Guanches. A stop in a small typical restaurant is of course also planned (not included in the tour price). Spend a day in the Canarian nature, far away from mass tourism and enjoy your personal hiking adventure through Anaga. This mountain massif is a true highlight on Tenerife, because this part of the island is very original and green with imposing mountains. Encounter with the Guanches

I first met the Guanches in Chinamada. A friendly breed of people. The hike was worth it because of this mountain village and the atmosphere there.

I recommend this hiking tour

The pick-up in (and return to) Playa de las Americas worked great. The hike is easy to manage. Good shoes should be compulsory.

Guided? Whimsical!

Red earth, full of sun. Nature is bursting with Mediterranean power. I am right in the middle. Contemplation and relaxation. Hike along for 54 euros? Absolutely. We wanted to do the Masca Gorge first, but since it is closed, we decided on this tour. We were very happy with the decision.

Rote Erde, Sonne satt. Natur strotzt vor mediterrane Kraft. Ich mittendrin. Kontemplation und Entspannung. Für 54 Euro mitwandern? Unbedingt. Wir wollten erst die Masca-Schlucht machen, da die aber geschlossen ist, haben wir uns für diese Tour entschieden. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Entscheidung.

Moderately difficult hike through Anaga

Experience nature through the impressive Anaga Mountains. Good weather made the hike a pleasant excursion. I'm usually not a hiking fan, but this year everything is different anyway, so I tried something new. Lovely again.

Mittelschwere Wanderung durchs Anaga

Erlebnis Natur durch das beeindruckende Anaga Gebirge. Gutes Wetter machte die Wanderung zu einem angenehmen Ausflug. Normalerweise bin ich kein Wanderfan, aber dieses Jahr ist eh alles anders, somit hab ich was neues probiert. Sehr gerne wieder.
