Detailed description

Dolphin and whale watching on Fuerteventura - boat trip with bathing break from Corralejo

The Canary Islands are a good starting point for whale watching and dolphin watching. More than 20 different species of large marine mammals have already appeared in the waters around the archipelago. You can also observe dolphins and whales off the coast of Fuerteventura. A little luck and an experienced boat crew are part of it. An exciting boat tour to the bottlenose dolphins with bathing break off Lobos starts daily in the port of Corralejo in northern Fuerteventura. Thanks to the appropriate signalling and positioning technology on the ship, the captain sets the course for a possible sighting of the sea inhabitants already on departure. The probability is relatively high on Fuerteventura. Both near the coast and on the open sea, whales and dolphins usually live in larger groups or pass by the Canary Islands. Especially from the pilot whale there are supposed to be larger family associations before Fuerteventura in the meantime. The whale season in the Canary Islands usually begins with spring, when the first whales from the tropical regions pass by.

Enjoy a 4-hour boat trip if you want to observe dolphins and whales on Fuerteventura and experience a unique natural spectacle. You are on board the only Blue Ship boat in the region. This badge is designed to ensure that safety conditions for animals and humans are respected and that the flora and fauna of the Canary Islands are protected. The experienced boat crew is familiar with the dolphins and whales. The route of this dolphin expedition leads between Fuerteventura and the neighbouring island Lanzarote across the open sea. If you are not seaworthy, it is best to prepare yourself with travel tablets before departure. The Atlantic Ocean can be a bit rougher and the waves can be higher.

After the hopefully successful dolphin sighting off Fuerteventura, the boat anchors off the island of Lobos, directly in front of the beautiful beach of La Concha. In this wonderful environment you can take a bath in turquoise blue water, explore the underwater world of the nature reserve or enjoy snacks and drinks (2 per passenger) on board. La Concha lies protected in a bay, is covered by almost white sand and visually the pure idyll. Here you linger with the pictures of the excursion to the whales and dolphins, before your boat (place for a maximum of 12 persons) leaves for the journey home. After about 4 hours and an eventful coastal trip you reach the harbour of Corralejo again.

Turbulent boat trip

My partner and I did the tour today.
It was very wild because of the waves, the boat rocks a lot!
I recommend taking travel tablets beforehand ;)
Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins or whales. (That's why only 3 stars) The crew was very nice.

Ps: You get wet

Turbulenter Bootsausflug

Unfortunately the sea didn't play along ...

Unfortunately, the swell was so strong that you could only see a few fins and dolphin snouts. Otherwise good organization of the tour.

Leider spielte das Meer nicht mit…

Der Wellengang war leider so stark, dass man nur ein paar Flossen und Delfinschnauzen sah. Ansonsten gute Organisation der Tour.

Observe marine mammals carefully

I only booked this tour because it was a "blue ship". On the tour I was able to see different schools of dolphins as well as some adolescent whales.
