No licence needed to rent a motorboat in Agia Pelagia near Heraklion
Of course, it makes a difference whether you sit at the helm yourself or watch the skipper at work. If you would like to take the steering wheel yourself for once on your Crete holiday, you can hire a licence-free motorboat in Agia Pelagia and take up to 4 people to find the beautiful and somewhat more secret beaches. This way you will experience a private boat trip on the north coast of Crete and enjoy 3 hours away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks to the adapted motorisation, you can also rent a boat in Crete as a beginner without a driving licence. A friendly crew will take care of the necessary know-how and will welcome and instruct you at the boat base in Lygaria. You even have the opportunity to take a short driving lesson before you cast off the lines and set off on your tour in the licence-free boat.
For this little sea adventure, the bay of Lygaria is the ideal starting point - the beach, which is also popular with locals and the residents of nearby Heraklion, is sheltered from the wind. So you don't have to fight the wind and waves on your first trip. Which route is best suited for the boat tour will be explained in detail on the basis of a map when you are handed over. If you rent a licence-free boat on Crete, you will orientate yourself towards the coast and stay within sight of the island landscape. And with that, you have quite a bit of variety ahead of you in the 3 hours. 25 litres of fuel are included in the rental price and can be used. If you need more fuel, it will be paid for in cash on site.
During your boat tour, you can anchor in small bays and go swimming or relax under the sunshade, which, like the cool box, is part of the basic equipment on the licence-free motor boat. Even if you are staying in Heraklion and the surrounding area, you can take a licence-free boat in Agia Pelagia for a day trip. The transfer from the city and other towns to the base is free of charge. After your boat trip, you will be driven back to your hotel.
Valid on the reserved day or for 12 months after date of purchase if no date has been selected. You will receive the tour operator's details with the purchased ticket. Attention: reservation is required! The reservation can be made through sunbonoo as part of the booking process or later by contacting the tour operator directly via phone or email.
