Day trip to Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island

Would you like to explore the beautiful west of Crete? Then we invite you on an excursion to one of the most beautiful coastal and bathing landscapes. Balos is located in the far west of the island of Crete. Together with the famous Samaria Gorge, one of the longest gorges in Europe, and the equally paradisiacal beach of Elafonissi, the Balos lagoon is one of the most visited natural beauties in western Crete.
The excursion to Gramvousa is a special experience for families. The phenomenal beauty of the Balos Lagoon nature reserve attracts many visitors every year and has become one of the most popular sights in western Crete.

The light pink-coloured sand consists of shell and coral particles and even forms natural cement at the shallow land connection to Cape Tigani - comfortable walking guaranteed! A highlight is the rocky shore of the lagoon with its diverse and colourful underwater world - fancy a dive?
Plenty of refreshments are of course also provided, as you can enjoy typical local cuisine on the way back to the Tavenerne in the village of Kaliviani.
So pack your rucksacks, get set, go!

Day trip to Chrissi Island

Chrissi stands for a small Greek island paradise off the coast of Crete. The island is located 15 kilometres (8 nautical miles) south of Ierapetra, Lasithi
A beautiful island awaits you here, inviting you to sunbathe and relax. Everyone will find a secluded spot to rest and enjoy.
Getting here is easy, as small boats leave every day from the harbours of Lerapetra and Makrigialos.
Once you arrive, there are plenty of beaches for you to explore. The most famous beach is just a 5-minute walk from the harbour. Why is the beach so famous, you ask? Have you ever seen pink sand? Here you will hardly be able to believe your eyes and you will be amazed. Sand is not quite your thing? Then come to Chatzivolakas, a rocky beach with calm waters. If you love nature, you can enjoy the peace and quiet here under the cedar trees and unwind. Now something for the really hard tanners among you: Kendra Beach has no vegetation and hardly any shade. However, its rocks and breathtaking views of the bright turquoise-coloured water are a delight.
Finally, a little insider tip:
The old salt pan, which is located next to the only house on Chrissi, is there to remind us of the past. In winter, the salt pan turns into a small pond and is a favourite spot for many migratory birds.
Have we piqued your interest? Then let's get going and start planning your excursion to the Chrissi Islands!

Day trip to Elafonisi beach

Don't want to miss out on a scenic highlight during your holiday? Then a visit to Elafonisi Beach should not be missing from your holiday plans.
The dreamy beach with its cyan-blue sea rivals the Caribbean or the Seychelles. Be amazed by the dreamlike lagoon, the flat beach landscape and the pink sand. The vast sand dune backdrop, surrounded by trees and bushes. Nature lovers will never cease to be amazed here.

Excursion to rural Chania

Fancy an end to the coast and beach and a rural setting? Then join our tour to Chania, which takes you to the heart of the island on a 6-hour excursion. The trip offers you a change from the touristy coastal region by immersing yourself in a rural atmosphere, getting involved with ancient, picturesque villages and travelling back in time with us to experience the unique ambience that Chania has to offer. The harbour town is the second largest settlement on the island, where you will find a mixture of medieval remains from the Venetian era, Ottoman and Greek sights, as well as museums and modern buildings. In addition to the hike and marvelling at the landscape, you can learn interesting facts about the surroundings and history, as well as practical experiences such as grinding wheat. Drinks and snacks are of course also provided to satisfy your hunger in between. So nothing stands in the way of an eventful day!

Crete beach tour

Hiking tours, guided city tours or museums are not what you are looking for on holiday? Then how about a day at the beach on Crete's most popular beaches. Pure relaxation is guaranteed! Come with us to Felasarna and Elafonsi on the west coast of the island and be amazed. The white sandy beach with its turquoise-blue water will leave beach lovers speechless.
Elafonsi has something of a South Sea lagoon about it. Here you will find shallow, light blue water as well as light green areas. This interplay creates a fabulous natural backdrop. The entire area is suitable for children, who will find ideal conditions there. Grab your shorts, a wooden rifle and off you go on a beach adventure.

Akrotiri peninsula

A day full of unexpected events awaits you here! The Akrotiri peninsula lies off the north coast of western Crete. The peninsula juts out into the Cretan Sea in a teardrop shape to the north-east and is connected to Crete in the south-west by a wide land bridge. Chania, the second largest city in Crete, lies to the west and the harbour town of Souda to the east.
The island is famous for its many monasteries, which are open to visitors, such as Agia Triada, the monastery of the Trinity, or the nearby monastery of Gouverneto, situated in a gorge. In addition to a wide range of cultural activities during the tour, you can of course also relax and doze in the sun. Let your soul dangle on Zorba beach. Refresh yourself in the sea and enjoy some peaceful sunbathing.

As you can see, Crete has a lot in store for you. Whether you are a beach, nature or culture lover - embark on a coach trip that will take you to magical places and provide you with an eventful holiday!
