Booking option: Explore the El Cabrón marine reserve in Gran Canaria

You have a choice of various options for your diving experience on Gran Canaria. You can go on 2 consecutive dives in one day. If you go for this option, you will be out for around 4-5 hours. We enter the water once the dive has been planned. Each of the two dives takes about 45 minutes. In between there is a 30-minute break. A short presentation about the dives and some refreshments are included. If you want to see more of El Cabron and the underwater world of Gran Canaria, book a pack of 6 or 10 dives and decide how many dives you want to complete on each day. One instructor will take care of a maximum of 4 divers. The diving centre has its own showers and changing rooms.

Discover the fantastic world of El Cabrón while diving in Gran Canaria

With impressive dive sites and a pleasant water temperature all year round, the Canary Islands are one of the world’s top locations for underwater sports. Diving off Gran Canaria is almost a must for divers. With its rich variety of species, the El Cabrón marine reserve is one of the most attractive areas off the east coast of the island. In the underwater world that was formed by volcanic activity, shoals of fish from halfway round the world flit between the caves and gorges, grottos and chimneys. Our diving centre is located just a few minutes from this exclusive dive site off Gran Canaria, making it the perfect base for diving into the marine area that is protected by UNESCO.

With an appropriate diving qualification you will start from Arinaga before descending into this spectacular biotope. 15 dive sites have been established in the area, in addition there is great visibility at depth and also enough variety to keep you coming back for more thanks to the large number of different routes. Just one dive is not enough to see everything that El Cabrón has to offer. You are able to choose between various options. You can go for two consecutive dives of 45 minutes each in the marine reserve. Both are completed in one day. You can also choose one of the adventure packages with 6 or 10 dives at a special price. You decide how often you want to go underwater in one day.

One of the visual highlights underwater is the "El Veril del Cabron" stone platform in the nature reserve off Arinaga, which drops to a depth of more than 20 metres from about 12 metres and which is the perfect habitat for many species of fish with its caves and fissures. The activity on this slope is impressive and worth seeing. And the impressive barracudas passing by in their elegant style of swimming or the big groupers rushing by are spectacular sights. Angel sharks have also been spotted at this hotspot for diving off Gran Canaria. The same goes for trumpet fish, giant rays or angel fish. The bottom of the Atlantic is also so colourful and surprisingly varied thanks to the warmth provided by the Gulf Stream. Added to this is the amazing geography of the island, which had its origins underwater and shows evidence of its volcanic heritage everywhere. All of this makes diving off Gran Canaria an ideal holiday adventure.

Included with our offers is the transfer from our dive centre to the dive site. You will be benefit from a fixed, well-planned dive in Gran Ganaria. Each instructor will be looking after no more than 4 participants, so that individual care before and during the tour is guaranteed.
