Diving in Mallorca is a wonderful sport: together with like-minded people you can discover the hidden underwater world. As an inexperienced diver, you can take part in taster dives and try out whether you enjoy diving. The prices for diving in Mallorca vary depending on the dive you choose (trial dive, guided diving excursion, diving course or snorkelling excursion). However, there are virtually no price differences between children and adults, as children from the age of 8-12 are allowed to dive on most dives and need the same equipment as adults.

Taster diving in Mallorca: Prices

A taster dive usually lasts between 2-3 hours. The most important theory is explained first, then you are given the right equipment and carry out a simple dive in a beautiful diving area. Taster dives in Mallorca cost around €65 per person, depending on the duration of the excursion. The well-known PADI taster diving course "Discover Scuba Diving" lasts around 4 hours and the average price is €71. An introductory dive therefore offers the opportunity to take your first guided dive without any prior knowledge - a nice change on holiday and perhaps the start of your new hobby?

Diving in Mallorca: Prices

To dive, you must already be a certified diver and have a diving licence. As a rule, you bring your own equipment, only the oxygen tanks and, if necessary, weights are rented on site. If necessary, the diving centres will of course also lend you the equipment you need, which may no longer fit in your suitcase. The provider will take you to a good diving spot on Mallorca and provide you with useful information about the area before the dive. Prices for diving in Mallorca vary around €30 per dive (for oxygen / weights + guide + transfer to the dive site). Night dives are slightly more expensive, as you will also be provided with special lighting equipment. Night diving in Mallorca costs around €60, although the price here also depends on the duration and extent of the dive.

Certified PADI diving courses - learn to dive in Mallorca: Prices

The two PADI diving courses that are most frequently offered on Mallorca are the PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water Diver. The difference between the two courses: The Scuba Diver course is shorter than the Open Water Diver (2-3 dives less) and therefore you may only dive under the supervision of a professional diver after completing the course - with the Open Water Diver you may dive without supervision after the end of the course. The prices for the Scuba Diver diving course on Mallorca are around €240, while the PADI Open Water Diver costs around €370 on Mallorca - depending on the organisation of the course (number of hours per day and number of dives included).

If you don't want to go scuba diving straight away, you can also discover the underwater world while snorkelling on Mallorca: For guided snorkelling excursions in Mallorca, you can expect to pay around €45 for a 3-4 hour excursion (equipment + guide + transfer).
