Diving in Tarragona: discover the fantastic underwater world on Spain's northeast coast

Diving in Tarragona and L'Ametlla de Mar on holiday – the Costa Dorada (= Spanish; Catalan = Costa Daurada) is the ideal place to explore the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean. In the northeast of Spain there are great diving areas. The guides who accompany your dives know them all! You will be taken to the most beautiful places. Dive in splendid bays and admire the wonderful underwater world. Swarms of fish, starfish, jellyfish – there is so much to discover off the Mediterranean coast.

The Tarragona diving excursions are aimed at people who already have experience. You should have completed at least the Open Water Diver course to be able to participate in the tours. So if your passion for diving has already been awakened, Costa Dorada dives are just the thing for you! Some of the equipment (tanks and weights) are included, the rest can be rented on site (for an extra fee).

Diving in Tarragona and surroundings also gives you the opportunity to do wreck diving in spain. Explore the sunken Dragonera wreck. The merchant ship has been off the coast of Tarragona since 1994 and is 60 metres long. You can admire it at a depth of 12 to 24 meters. This dive is demanding because the water can become partly clear and partly very turbid. But it is worth it. If the wreck and the flora and fauna that have developed there spread out in front of you, you will be thrilled diving in Catalonia!
