To start the El Hierro day tour, we pick you up at your hotel in the south of Tenerife and transfer you to the port of Los Cristianos, where we board the ferry to Puerto de la Estaca. The crossing takes about 2.5 hours. Once we arrive on El Hierro, we go for an island tour in a mini-van (max. 7 people). We will visit parts of the north, the centre and the west coast of El Hierro and see the most important landmarks. The following stops are planned: Isora viewpoint overlooking Las Playas, Jinama viewpoint overlooking the Golfo valley, the plateau and laurel forests, Frontera Landscape Park, La Candelaria church with its bell tower perched on the Joapira mountain peak, La Maceta natural swimming pool, Punta Grande hotel mentioned in the Guinness Book, La Pena viewpoint overlooking El Golfo valley and the Gorreta escarpment. Finally, we visit the quesadilla factory in Valverde, before we return to the ferry port and take the boat back to Tenerife. Becoming familiar with the most westerly of the Canary Islands, the El Hierro day trip from the south of Tenerife is a highly organised excursion alongside an experienced guide. By ferry from Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife, the crossing to El Hierro takes around 2.5 hours. A good opportunity to cross the Atlantic and see more of the island world. From Puerto de la Estaca we take a minivan or air-conditioned coach (depending on booking) on a tour of the island to the west coast. We stop at the viewpoints of Isora, Jinama and La Pena, visit the famous laurel forest and the well-known natural swimming pool La Maceta. The Punta Grande House, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest hotel, should also not be missed on an El Hierro tour. The same applies to a tasting of the famous quesadillas in Valverde.
