fast ferry ride but not very comfortable

the ferry from mallorca to menorca is fast but a bit basic. the one day round trip is convenient, but be prepared to be cramped on the boat. the time in menorca is just enough to explore a bit and enjoy the beaches. don't forget your passport, they need it when boarding. overall, a decent but not spectacular experience.

viaje en ferry rapido pero sin muchas comodidades

el ferry de mallorca a menorca es rapido pero un poco basico. el viaje de ida y vuelta en un dia es conveniente, pero prepárate para estar apretado en el barco. el tiempo en menorca es justo suficiente para explorar un poco y disfrutar de las playas. no olvides el pasaporte, lo necesitan al embarcar. en general, una experiencia decente pero no espectacular.

Ferry Fun!

Taking the ferry from Mallorca to Menorca was an absolute blast with the family! We hopped aboard in Alcudia and were thrilled to be on our way to Ciutadella. The journey was a swift one, just over an hour, which meant we had plenty of time to explore the wonders of Menorca.

Ciutadella is a charming place, full of history and those paradisiacal bays everyone raves about. We spent the day exploring the nooks and crannies of this traditional town. The kids loved the adventure, splashing around in the crystal-clear waters and discovering the unique shops.

The ferry itself was comfortable with a bar and clean facilities. It was a relief to know that the little ones got to travel for free, which saved us a pretty penny!

Remember to show up an hour early and keep your passport handy. The only downside? No transfer included, but a little planning took care of that.

All in all, a day well spent with memories to last a lifetime. Get ready for a fantastic trip!

Very bad

That was probably nothing. After a long wait at check-in, we were informed that Sunboo had not transferred the ferry fare to Menorca (transferred by us on 9.4.24 for 10.5.23) to Balearia. As we had planned the trip with 4 people, we had to buy a new ticket. Sunboo was not yet available by phone, so we could not clarify anything. Now we are curious to see whether the agency will refund Sunboo and how long this will take. The start to Menorca first of all spoilt a nice day.

Ganz schlecht

Das war wohl nichts. Nach langer Wartezeit am Check-in wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass Sunboo den Fährpreis nach Menorca (von uns am 9.4.24 für den 10.5.23 überwiesen) nicht an Balearia überwiesen hat. Da wir mit 4 Leuten den Ausflug geplant hatten, mussten wir ein neues Ticket lösen. Sunboo war noch nicht telefonisch erreichbar, sodass wir nichts klären konnten. Jetzt sind wir gespannt, ob die Agentur Sunboo rückerstattet.
Und wie lange dies dauert.
Der Start nach Menorca trübte erst einmal einen schönen Tsg.
Das geht sicher anders.

great trip

We spent the autumn our annual Mallorca holiday again in Alcudia. My dream was for years sometimes to visit the neighboring island of Menorca. This offer seemed perfect for this and it has proven to be a fantastic trip. By ferry one is fixed over there and we could spend in Menorca beautiful hours in Ciutadella, the port city. The ferry is not very large, modern and Kompfort kept within bounds, but it can be about 1.5 hours to enjoy the sea. Highly recommended for a day trip :-)

Toller Ausflug

Wir haben im Herbst unseren jährlichen Mallorca Urlaub wieder in Alcudia verbracht. Mein Traum war schon über Jahre auch mal die Nachbarinsel Menorca zu besuchen. Diese Angebot schien dafür perfekt und es hat sich als fantastischer Ausflug herausgestellt. Mit der Fähre ist man fix drüben und wir konnten wunderschöne Stunden in Ciutadella, der Hafenstadt auf Menorca verbringen. Die Fähre ist zwar nicht sehr luxoriös und der Kompfort hält sich in Gränzen, aber dafür kann man ca 1,5 Stunden das Meer genießen. Sehr zu empfehlen für einen Tagesausflug :-)
