Booking option: Hiking in Fuerteventura: wild and romantic beaches in the west

This guided hike takes you to three beautiful black beaches on the west side of Fuerteventura. Starting from La Pared, the hike follows the rugged and romantic coastline. The approximately 6-kilometre-long walking route is easy to manage. At a petrified light-coloured dune, we invite you to a picnic with typical island products. The resting point also offers excellent photo motives with its contrasts, the surrounding desert landscape and the black volcanic rock. The hike is possible all year round and is a varied and interesting tour even for Fuerteventura connoisseurs. Detailed description

Guided hike on the west coast of Fuerteventura - wild beaches

Look forward to a hike along the wild and romantic west coast of Fuerteventura. North of the surfer's paradise La Pared, the island shows itself in rugged beauty and we show you how to find three of the most beautiful black beaches here. Only a few kilometres separate La Pared, the starting point of the guided hike, from our meeting point at Costa Calma. It is all the more astonishing how different the two landscapes appear to the visitor. Especially the rugged and wind-borne west coast around La Pared offers a completely different picture than the Fuerteventura of long sandy beaches.

With surprising perspectives and gripping landscapes, the guided coastal hike is interesting and varied even for island connoisseurs. The transfer to the starting point is included for customers from the south (Costa Calma, Jandia, Tarajalejo), as is a picnic in front of a wonderful backdrop. The petrified sand dune, which will be the resting point of our Fuerteventura hiking tour, is one of the highlights. The hike to the wild beaches of La Pared is free of major hurdles and obstacles, but the approximately 6 kilometres lead over rustic ground of sand and stone. A certain amount of secure footing ensures safety on this beautiful course by the sea.

We will spend about two hours on this hiking route on the west coast. In addition, we will have a picnic at the dune, where we can enjoy the scenery for about 1 hour with wine and island cheese, and take photos of a landscape full of contrasts. You will hike this trail alongside an experienced hiking guide who knows the area well and who will also tell you stories about this unspoiled area of Fuerteventura along the way.

Fuerteventura is a year-round hiking destination and the west coast tour from La Pared is also possible in small groups from January to December thanks to the fresh sea breeze.
