You will start by joining the crew and other passengers looking for tropical pilot whales and dolphins, which you can observe in their natural habitat through the vessel’s underwater windows. The boat then sets course for the tourist areas of the south coast of Tenerife as far as Bahía Blanca and La Caleta, where you can swim in the calm waters of Diego Hernandez Bay and then enjoy a meal on board. Experience the underwater world off Tenerife on a glass bottom boat

A unique excursion on the south coast of Tenerife: board the glass bottom boat and discover the wonderful underwater world of the Atlantic Ocean on the dolphin tour from Playa las Americas. The south coast of Tenerife is particularly well-known for dolphin sightings and the potential for whale-watching. A Tenerife boat trip will not only bring you closer to the marine life, but also to the island itself. The view of the coast and the landscape that you get from the water is both impressive and beautiful.

There is a choice of 3 different excursions on the glass bottom boat. The starting point in each case is the harbour at Puerto Colón, which is popular for sporting activities and tourists. This is where the Royal Dolphin is berthed – this well-equipped equipment catamaran can accommodate up to 222 passengers. The two air-conditioned underwater compartments are equipped with panoramic windows and 10 underwater cameras. The images are transmitted to the screens on the main deck so that all of the passengers can experience life in the sea as it is filmed.

Once on board, you will start a comfortable cruise towards the neighbouring island of La Gomera. You will be amazed by the fantastic views of both islands. The Atlantic Ocean off Tenerife is very rich in fish and soon you will be able to observe the different whale and dolphin species that live off the coast of Tenerife from one of the decks, in the underwater area or on the screens. The Royal Dolphin has the "Blue Boat" standard, which indicates that tours to observe the different species are sustainable and respectful. This also includes reduced speed in the dolphin’s territory.

An unforgettable experience in Tenerife

The glass-bottom boat tour was a wonderful experience for our family. The views of the coastline and the opportunity to see dolphins and whales were impressive. The crew were friendly and the lunch on board was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the swimming stop in Masca Bay. One small drawback was the long transfer time. Nevertheless, we would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the underwater world of Tenerife up close.

Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis auf Teneriffa

Die Glasbodenboot-Tour war eine wunderbare Erfahrung für unsere Familie. Die Aussicht auf die Küste und die Möglichkeit, Delfine und Wale zu beobachten, waren beeindruckend. Die Crew war freundlich und das Mittagessen an Bord war schmackhaft. Besonders gefiel uns der Schwimmstopp in der Masca-Bucht. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war die lange Transferzeit. Dennoch empfehlen wir diese Tour jedem, der die Unterwasserwelt von Teneriffa hautnah erleben möchte.

Great experience

The excursion on the glass bottom boat was a truly memorable experience. I opted for the 3 hour tour and marvelled at the opportunity to see dolphins in their natural habitat. The crew were professional and friendly, making sure we were all comfortable and well informed. The lunch on board was satisfying and the swim stop in the bay was a refreshing touch. Highlight for my son

I was with my 9 year old son on the trip and for him it was the highlight of the holiday, because he has seen dolphins. The are very close swum to the boat! One can see under water by the window and watch the fish. The boat has been clean, the food was fine.

Ich war mit meinem 9-jährigen Sohn auf dem Ausflug und für ihn war es das Highlight des Urlaubs, weil er Delfine gesehen hat. Die sind sehr nah am Boot vorbeigeschwommen! Man kann unter Wasser durch die Fenster sehen und die Fische beobachten. Das Boot ist sauber gewesen, das Essen war in Ordnung.
