Detailed description

Hike Formentor - Puig de na Blanca (320m) - Playa Formentor in the north of Majorca

This tour takes us to the northernmost end of Mallorca via the long, narrow and rugged Formentor peninsula, also known by the Mallorcans as the "meeting point of the winds". For agriculture and fishing, it used to be vital for the inhabitants to be familiar with the winds. Depending on the direction of the wind and the season, the weather can change very quickly and influence crop yields. A bizarre hilly landscape and fantastic beaches characterize this region. From the top of the Na Blanca we enjoy wonderful views of the Tramuntana mountains and the bay of Pollença up to Menorca during this Formentor hike.

The walk in the north of Mallorca starts at the beautiful beach Formentor and leads for a few minutes along the sea, then into a residential area with luxurious villas. The steep and somewhat strenuous climb to Na Blanca is then rewarded with magnificent views in all directions. The Na Blanca is one of the highest peaks in the rugged landscape of Formentor and offers some spectacular panoramas over the north of Mallorca, the bays of Pollensa and Alcúdia up to the high peaks of the Tramuntana. Again and again, places invite you to linger and enjoy. The pace of the hike will be determined by the participants and will leave enough space to contemplate the landscape of the island in peace.

After a breather and a view from the top of Na Blanca, the circular path leads downhill, along roads and through woods back to the starting point at the beach of Cap Formentor. Enjoy the view of the beautiful bay in the shade of the pine trees. The turquoise water and the fine sandy beach are ideal for a bathing break. A restaurant and small snack bars will take care of your physical well-being on request.

Tour is nice but not cheap

I found nature, view, hiking trail - the whole tour was beautiful. But for 60 € I wouldn't do it again. (Because I now know the route and can therefore walk for free ...). The weather was fine, the best way to hike in Mallorca in winter.

Good condition → good hike

It was physically challenging for me, but not negative. The mountain guide was considerate of the group. Good variety in a "lazy holiday"

Gute Kondition → Gute Wanderung

Es war für mich körperlich herausfordernd, aber nicht negativ. Der Bergführer nahm Rücksicht auf die Gruppe. Gute Abwechselung in einem „Faulenzer-Urlaub“

I needed exactly that.

Standing on the top with the feeling of coming up here: I did it myself. And then this view: sea, vastness, outrageous blue. Fantastic!

Ich brauchte genau das.

Auf dem Gipfel zu stehen, mit dem Gefühl: hier hochzukommen: Das habe ich selbst geschafft. Und dann diesen Ausblick: Meer, Weite, unverschämtes Blau. Fantastisch!
