You will be picked up at the agreed time and driven with your guide to the starting point of this hiking route, which makes it possible to climb the highest mountain of Fuerteventura with 807 meters. The Pico de la Zarza, also known as "Oreja Burro" (the donkey's ear), is located in the Jandia Natural Park in the south of the island. The path to the top of the mountain leads along the lee side (away from the wind). The route is well prepared and the gradients are sporty in places. But when we reach the summit, the effort quickly fades into the background thanks to a spectacular view. From the roof of the island, the view falls down to the wild beaches of Cofete and Barlovento and to the steep volcanic walls of Jandia. Up there we will take a break and nice photos before walking back to the starting point on the same path. For the ascent and descent we need about 5 hours and a good physical condition.

If you stand on the summit and look out over the wild beaches of Cofete, the west coast or Villa Winter, all the effort will be forgotten. On a clear day you can even see the neighbouring islands. We will take our time to enjoy the triumph of the mountaineer and take a break for picnics, panoramas and photos on the summit. With normal physical condition and in good physical condition you will not experience any difficulties on this Fuerteventura hike.
