Great day trip on Rhodes: hiking, swimming, relaxing and feasting on the east coast

Hiking in Rhodes means being enchanted by the beauty of the Greek island. Immerse yourself in the Mediterranean flora and fauna and enjoy fantastic views of the coastline and the Mediterranean sea in the mountainous east. You start the hike in the small village of Masari. It is located on the edge of the Orange Valley and the inhabitants live mainly from agriculture. Near the original village there are huge citrus plantations. The hike on Rhodes takes you past pine trees and you cross the river Gaidouras, which meanders through the valley. You continue uphill to the idyllically situated Trifeniotisa monastery, where you will take a short break at its chapel. Here you can relax and take some holiday pictures while enjoying a Rhodian snack and the fantastic view. An experienced and local guide is always at your side to provide you with interesting details about the country and its people.

On the Rhodes hiking tour you will get closer and closer to the coast until it finally spreads out in front of you. In the distance you can see the two coastal towns of Heraki and Kalathos and the seemingly endless sea. Take a deep breath and feel the fresh sea brew right here. Of course, you should also capture the wonderful view with your camera! Or just enjoy the moment and the wonderful scenery in Rhodes. You go on hiking to the village of Kalathos, where the route ends. The seaside resort is known for its beautiful wide beach, which has both gravel and sand sections. Relaxation and water fun await you here. On this trip you will quickly start sweating, but the refreshing and crystal clear water will cool you down! Listen to the sound of the waves and sniff the liberating scent of the sea. After your visit to the beach, you will be taken to a cosy tavern in nearby Heraki. Here you can sit together comfortably while traditional dishes are served to you. See, smell, feel and taste Greece while hiking in Rhodes - a tour for all nature and beach lovers!
