Our panoramic tour starts in Corralejo with a scenic drive through the sand dunes park and a short photo stop with a view of Lobos. With Puerto del Rosario we reach the largest city of Fuerteventura, also known as the port of the goats. On the island tour we will also see typical Canarian villages, such as the former capital Antigua, the potato village Casillas del Angel, Tescamanito, Ampuyenta and others. Among the most amazing places on the island is Tuineje, formerly known as the Tomato Village. It was also the only place where you could buy your camel in Fuerte. During the island tour you will have the opportunity to see the whole island from the north to the deep south and to the highest mountains in the west. We visit many Canarian villages, caves, coastlines and beaches in 7 hours.

This includes Playa de Sotavento, one of the most popular beaches in the south of Jandia. In the west coast village of Ajuy we can enjoy a local lunch (not included), the restaurant is about 10 meters from the black sand beach. Afterwards we have time for a walk to the caves or for a refreshing swim in the sea (don't forget a towel). At Mirador Guise and Mirador Morro Velosa we enjoy a stunning panoramic view from the highest point of the island, which can be reached by car. Finally we walk through Betancuria, the oldest village (1404) and for more than 40 years old capital of the island. Via Tefia and La Oliva we return to the north.

Detailed description

Eventful island tour on Fuerteventura starting in the north

Experience the facets of Fuerteventura on a grand tour of the island that covers large parts of the north, the south as well as the west coast and includes an entertaining sightseeing program with swimming break, viewpoints and city walk. The full day excursion in an air-conditioned minivan with a maximum of 8 passengers starts with the transfer from the northern region. You will be traveling around the island in comfort and style, away from crowds. The Panorama Tour Fuerteventura is accompanied by a multilingual guide and driver who will introduce you to the island hotspots.

We will pass some typical Canarian villages as parts of our island tour - such as Antigua, the tomato village of Tuineje, the potato village of Casillas del Angel, Tescamanito and Ampuyenta. We pay special attention to Ajuy on the west coast. A village known for limestone, black volcanic beach and natural caves. We will guide you to a local restaurant where you can enjoy lunch (not included) - 10 meters from the sandy beach. A must is the walk to the huge natural caves and a refreshing swim in the sea.

For many vacationers Betancuria is rightly a highlight -the old capital should not be missing on any Fuerteventura island tour. Not only because the history is still so tangible on the old cobblestone streets. Betancuria, named after the conqueror Juan de Bethencourt, is truly one of the most beautiful places on the whole island. This is mainly due to the people who rebuilt the town after its devastation in the 16th century. Today Betancuria is adorned with white houses among palm trees and flowers, well-kept streets and squares. We visit the Casa Santa Maria and take a small tour of the town.

Filled with many new impressions we continue our Fuerteventura island tour towards the north and reach another panoramic site. On the way back to Corralejo we stop at the Mirador Guise and let our eyes wander 669 meters above sea level. A perfect ending for the round trip of Fuerteventura.
