Detailed description

Full day Jeep Safari on Lanzarote: The Canary Islands explore from Fuerteventura

The early bird catches the worm - this is especially true on this exciting jeep safari on Lanzarote from Fuerteventura. The 7-hour full day tour starts with a pick-up at your hotel in Jandia, Costa Calma, Castillo or Corralejo and takes you with the 7:50 a.m. ferry across to the enchanting Canary Island of Lanzarote, where you can choose to travel to the north of the island to see the beautiful nature and get to know the two faces of the island: the thirsty, dry east and the blooming, dense vegetation of the west. Included in both tours are the drivers of the 4x4 Jeep, the ferry ticket and insurance for the entire trip.

One option on the Jeep Safari on Lanzarote is to explore the north. You drive from the ferry port through the beautiful towns of Macher, Femes and Tiras until you finally arrive at the starting point in Tahiche. From here the journey begins, past Guatiza with beautiful plantations, to Mala with its oldest cactus garden on the island and through beautiful places like Arrieta and Punta Mujeres. Enjoy a little relaxation in one of the two tourism centres Jameos del Agua or Cueva de los Verdes, admission included. Past the beach Caletón Blanco and the picturesque view of the white fishing village Órzala in front of the turquoise sea, you land in Haria, a place with many architectural heirs. In Mirador de los Helechos and in Teguise you take short walks to admire Canarian markets and an enchanting old town before the tour ends in Tahiche again soon afterwards.

The other jeep safari on Lanzarote starts in Tiras and takes you to the plains of La Geria, a fantastic looking wine-growing area in a sea of volcanic ash. Here you will also visit a local winery before heading to the main attraction of the tour: Timanfaya National Park! A natural spectacle of multicoloured volcanic stones, grotesque images of lava and unique vegetation. The entrance fee is included, there is a bar and a cafeteria in the park. Via El Golfo with its spectacular beach, created by hydro volcanic activities, you travel to Las Salinas de Janubio. This area has a large lake that is fed by sea water and is the heart of the island's salt industry. The tour ends in Playa Blanca, when there is still time to visit Papagayos beach.

Is also better

We were only partially satisfied with the northern tour on Lanzarote. The tour was bilingual, that was not said. At none of the beaches were we offered to bathe. Canary markets? Wrong! The tour was mainly a photo session, we stayed only a few minutes, even for lunch, which is not included, left us just 50 minutes, view, photo session and visit to the souvenir shop included. Our Jeep driver made an effort, drove us to the highest mountain and volcanic slopes, showed us great beaches. But the spark really did not want to jump over. The pick up in the morning from our hotel on Fuerteventura worked out on time. On the crossing from Corralejo to Lanzarote we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. Nevertheless, something else is expected for this price
