The PADI Scuba Diver dive course is perfectly suitable for everyone who only has little time for a dive course at Mar Menor and who wants to continue scuba diving only in groups or on guided dives (but not alone). The Scuba Diver dive course is a possible (but not necessarily required) pre-course for the Open Water Diver dive course to learn the most important basics of scuba diving. In small groups and led by a professional dive teacher, you'll practise first in the pool or in a sheltered bay and afterwards at two dives in the open water for the Scuba Diver course in La Manga.

  • Times: ca. 2 days from 08:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Days: every Monday

Included

  • Wetsuit, experienced instructor, introduction, insurance, teaching materials, certification, complete equipment, drinks

Option 2: ca. 3-4 days PADI Open Water Diver course in La Manga

The PADI Open Water Diver is the most famous dive certificate world-wide. Thanks to internationally standardised learning materials, you can conduct the theoretical part upfront online, so you only have to complete the practical exercises in your holidays. At the scuba dive course in Mar Menor, you'll be trained by experienced PADI dive instructors in small groups. You'll learn scuba diving step by step - first with exercises in the pool or in a sheltered bay, afterwards with four dives in the sea. After finishing the OWD dive course in La Manga, you can dive world-wide until 18 metres depth without a dive instructor.

Option 3: Boat dive at Islas Hormigas for experienced divers

This guided double dive at Islas Hormigas or in Cartagena is a unique experience for certified divers with a good fitness level. The marine reserve Islas Hormigas was elected as one of the best dive sites in Europe due to its abundance of maritime life, however, waves and currents occur here frequently. For your own safety, at least 10 dives are required as experience from which the last one shouldn't be longer than 3 months before. The dive centre at La Manga takes you by boat to the dive spot, from there you start the two tank dive in the marine reserve. Look forward to see a fascinating variety of large groupers, sunfish, sea horses, brightly coloured nudibranches and eagle rays!

Detailed description

Enjoy a dive course at La Manga or adventurous dives at Mar Menor

Due to its reputation as one of the best dive sites in Europe and thanks to its mild water temperatures of an average 20-28°C, a dive course at Mar Menor is just perfect. The since 1995 protected nature reserve Cabo de Palos is the habitat of a large variety of species, which is used by many sea creatures as breeding ground. The coastal line of Costa Calida therefore is the ideal place for dive beginners. At the dive course in La Manga, experienced dive instructors are always at your side and patiently support you in learning scuba diving. Since all dive courses are PADI-certified, all dive courses are conducted due to international standards and with internationally standardised teaching material.

At the same times, experienced divers get their money's worth at the dive centre in La Manga. On guided boat dives or shore dives, experienced and less-experienced certified divers can get to know Costa Calida. Especially spectacular are the sardine shoals that occur every year between August and October and attract predatory fish, such as the up to 22 kg heavy dolphinfish, tuna, common dentex and jackfish. The dives at Mar Menor are a unique experience! Besides the moray eels, rays, octopi, barracudas and moonfish, that settle here during all the year, you can also expect many more sea creatures that hide in the lush posidonia- and neptune seaweed meadows.

It has been great. We did not plan to do a dive in the area, but finally having all the documents with us we have been spontaneous. Wonderful.

Inmersión - material
