Booking option: Lanzarote compact - a charming minibus tour of the island

The island tour of Lanzarote starts with a visit to Timanfaya National Park, where you will feel the power of the volcanoes during some geothermal experiments. On the approximately 14 kilometre long adventure route through the park we pass landscapes that remind us of the planet Mars. If you want, you are invited to a small photo stop with the camels before the island tour continues towards the coast of Timanfaya. On the way we enjoy the views of the Salinas de Janubio and Los Hervideros before we reach our next stop, El Golfo. El Golfo is one of the most impressive volcanoes of the Canary Islands. Its black, ochre and red tones offer a strong contrast to the green lagoon and the blue sea. From the viewpoint we have a wonderful view over the green lagoon or Charco de los Clicos.

After stopping in El Golfo we continue the island tour to the wine growing area La Geria. There we can look out and take pictures. We stop at the Monumento al Campesino, a nice destination to have lunch (not included). After the break, we move to the north of the island, passing Teguise, the old capital of the island. In the north-east we visit a spectacular volcanic tunnel formed by La Corona: Jameos del Agua, designed by César Manrique and Cueva de los Verdes. designed by Jesús Soto. The last stop of our island tour is dedicated to the last work of César Manrique - a cactus garden with more than 1000 specimens, mostly from South America.

Detailed description

Big island tour of Lanzarote by minibus - once from the south to the north and back

Get to know Lanzarote without hurry and with personal attention: with a maximum of 14 passengers the island tour Lanzarote in a minibus is a recommendation for all those who like to travel in small groups and like to take their time to see as much as possible. With a duration of almost 10 hours, the island tour has plenty of room for interesting, entertaining, attractive stops and for narrations that show them nature. Getting to know the culture and history of this Canary Islands beauty. With the Timanfaya National Park, the green lagoon El Golfo, the Salines de Janubio as well as the wine growing area La Geria, Jameos de Agua and Cueva de los verdes, the main attractions are part of the detailed island tour of Lanzarote.

You will enjoy a day trip with transfers from the tourist centres in the south and on board an air-conditioned minibus, which also has W-Lan. So you can send the pictures you take at one of the many stops immediately. The island tour takes you from the south across the island to the north and starts immediately with the most famous park of the Canary Islands: Timanfaya. There we take a panoramic tour on the volcano route and admire the landscape that has been created after volcanic eruptions. We can also convince ourselves of the power of the volcanoes during geothermal experiments. On the volcano route in the national park it is not allowed to leave the vehicle to preserve the landscape, but we can take some photos from the minibus.

If you take a tour around the island of Lanzarote, you will hardly pass El Golfo. For that, the lagoon of green-turquoise water and its sight is just too spectacular. From the coastal region we move to the centre of the island and pay a short visit to the famous wine growing area La Geria. We also stop at the Monumento al Campesino, where we can take time for lunch (not included) before heading north past the old capital Teguise. Here one of the biggest volcanic tubes in the world is waiting for us, the Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua. The cactus garden in Guatiza - the last great work of the artist Cesar Manrique - marks the end of the island tour of Lanzarote. Via the east coast we return to the starting point of the island tour and bid you farewell at your hotel.

There are even wine growers on Lanzarote

And that wasn't all I did NOT know before this charming island tour. The small group only half filled the bus so I didn't have to worry about AHA. What you get to see is really impressive: volcanoes, green lagoon, camels, old architecture in Tequise or the cactus garden ... A recommended tour. Thanks.

Danke.
