Option 1: Madeira Motorcycle Tour in Sidecar - Funchal Downtown

With up to 2 people in a sidecar, the guide will take you on a ride through the historic centre of Funchal, if you wish, with a short walk through the old town. On the way there you will pass the farmers' market and the cable car station of Monte's as well as the western viewpoint of Funchal. On the east side you drive through the oldest part of Funchal to a unique vantage point where you can admire the beautiful landscape and learn a little about history, lifestyle, typical products, local food and drinks. After the photo stop you return to the centre of Funchal to visit the west side and pass the harbour to enjoy a different and unique view of the city (also possible at night).

Option 2: Madeira Motorcycle Tour in Sidecar - Old Roads East

On the 2-hour Old Roads East tour you will discover the east side of the city, visit the historic centre, past the farmers market, Monte's cable car station (optional short walk through the old town) and Funchal's western vantage point. On the east side you drive along the old streets of Funchal to a unique viewpoint where you can take pictures and the guide will tell you more about the history of the island, its people and way of life. From there you will head to the Garajau Nature Reserve, where Christ the King statue is located and you will have a fantastic view over the ocean with Funchal in the distance and the desert islands on the horizon. A last stop is in Funchal.

Option 3: Madeira Motorcycle Tour in Sidecar - Old Roads West

The west side of Funchal is on the programme for the 3-hour sidecar tour. You cross the modern part of the city on the way to the unique fishing village "Câmara de Lobos". There is a stop to take pictures and learn more about history and typical products (banana, Madeira wine), local dishes (black sheath fish "Peixe Espada Preto", meat "Espetada"). Afterwards we continue to "Cabo Girão", one of the highest cliffs in Europe, where you can walk over the Skywalk glass floor and enjoy a magnificent view. On an old coastal road you roll to Ribeira Brava and the landscape changes from mountain to sea. If you want to relax in between with a drink or snack, the guide will recommend a good restaurant.

Exciting Motorcycle Tour on Madeira - Sightseeing in sidecar

Individual, stylish and very special - this is a sightseeing tour on Madeira in a motorcycle sidecar. Experience a round trip in a classic Ural team and prepare yourself for an adventurous journey over parts of the island; on sky-blue water, on green hills and fabulous perspectives. On 3 different routes you can explore Funchal and the Atlantic coast of Madeira, blowing the wind around your exclusive seat and experiencing special moments. During the tour, you will be connected to your guide (and driver) via headphones and learn interesting things about the island's history, traditions, food and hospitality while driving past.

If you want to get a first impression of Funchal, the places and sidewalks worth seeing, the parks and the harbour, fasten your seat belt! The old town, the historic centre, the farmers market and the cable car station Monte's Cable Car are important landmarks on the Downtown Route. Stop where it draws you, take time for a little walk and a photo stop. On request, the tour can be started and finished at the Funchal cruise port or at any meeting point in the city. The approximately 2-hour east tour takes you to the national reserve "Garajau", where the famous statue of Christ can be seen. Also included is a stop at a vantage point which gives you a fantastic view over the sea, Funchal and the neighbouring islands.

A highlight of the west tour is the visit of Camara de Lobos - famous for its colourful fishing boats, the idyllic location, for excellent wines, the poncha and special moods by the sea, which have already prompted many celebrities to paint them. Not far from the fishing village lies the cliff Cabo Girao, one of the highest and most impressive in Europe. A walkable glass platform, 580 meters above sea level, offers a breathtaking view over parts of the island, Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean.

On request, you can arrange a stop with your guide for drinks and snacks (not included) or drive to other stations. The prices are valid for up to 2 persons. You can also enjoy this wonderful motorcycle tour on Madeira with your partner or friend and girlfriend. The pick-up from Funchal is included in the price, for longer distances around the capital a pick-up can be arranged (extra charge).
