Through Gozo's east: Segway tour on the Maltese island

Explore the east of Malta's second largest island on a Malta Segway Tour on Gozo and let the guide show you the most beautiful places and viewpoints.

Booking option: Gozo Segway Tour from Qala

Our Segway tour starts at Qala Square, just a few minutes from Mgarr Harbour. It is the easternmost point of the island. Our training session will take place at the newly refurbished Pjazza San Guzepp (Qala Square), one of the main tourist centres. Once everyone is familiar with their Segway, we head up the hill to Triq il-Mithna and are greeted by the tantalising smell of an old wood-fired bakery, one of the last on the island. Here we can stop and buy freshly baked traditional "qaghaq" (sweet sesame rings).

This route takes us out of the urban area and into a beautiful agricultural area called Ta' Tocc. This relatively unexplored part of the island is in the far east and offers some of the most spectacular views of the north coast and the Gozo Channel, and on a clear day it's not uncommon to see the island of Sicily on the horizon!

Pjazza San Kurraw is our next stop before travelling down the road to Hondoq ir-Rummien Bay. The crystal-clear water, which is identical to the Blue Lagoon in nearby Comino, makes Hondoq Bay very popular with the locals, especially in summer. Before re-entering Qala Square, we make a detour to Triq il-Wardija, from where the island of Comino is within reach. Further down, Triq ic-Cawl is probably one of the most breathtaking streets in Gozo.

Gozo & Segway = fun

Such a one-person vehicle is most useful when going up hills! Fort Chambray and the bakery were the highlights for me. Recommendation!

Gozo & Segway = Spass

Am nützlichsten ist so ein Einpersonengefährt, wenn es hügelauf geht! Fort Chambray und die Bäckerei waren für mich die Höhepunkte. Empfehlung!

Who knows what "Qaghaq" are?

The whole trip was a success. A calm experience with many beautiful details: views of the defiant fortress, the Christmas village and a shadowy view of Sicily. I would be happy to recommend this offer. PS: What "Qaghaq" are is at the top of the page text ...

Wer weiß, was „Qaghaq“ sind?

Malta Segway Tour in Gozo: Quality rating very good

A guided Segway excursion that I really enjoyed. The vehicles were well explained and were in good condition, which is even more important in these times. All hygiene requirements were met. The route is pleasant (mostly car-free) and the tour guide is very friendly.
