Mykonos day cruise with Delos guided tour

Booking option: Full Day Sailing Tour Mykonos: Delos & Rhenia

The saling trip in Mykons starts for you with an included shuttle service from the hotel to the mooring of the sailboat. Our crew will welcome you on board and warm you up for the cruise before we set sail towards Rhenia and Delos. Both islands are located just a few miles southwest of Mykonos. During the boat trip you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, perhaps sunbathing on deck. After about 1 hour of sailing, we reach the unspoilt island of Rhenia, which is separated from the holy island of Delos only by a small strait. We anchor in an idyllic bay with turquoise waters and golden sandy beach where you indulge yourself in the refreshing sea for swimming and snorkeling by the yacht swimming ladder (pier facilities or tendering ashore are not available).

Meanwhile, lunch is prepared on board - either Italian pasta with dressing and salad or a local Mediterranean-style buffet with juicy seasonal fruit. A selection of complimentary house wines and soft drinks is also offered. After the approximately 2-hour stop off Rhenia, we head for our next stop: the island of Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greek history. Our stay will last about 2 hours. Besides a guided tour of about 1.5 hours with an English-speaking guide, we can visit the museum, hike up Mount Kynthos (367 feet high) and admire the overwhelming number of ancient ruins. According to mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. The sanctuary of the two gods was the centre of a large Hellenistic city with a population of about 30,000. Filled with this historical richness, we return to the sailboat and set course for Mykonos. At the harbour, the shuttle service will be waiting to take you back to the hotel.
