Detailed description

Natural beauty of Portugal: Arrábida National Park including wine tasting

Arrábida National Park in Portugal, west of Setubal on the Atlantic coast south of Lisbon, is becoming increasingly popular due to its unspoilt nature. The sunny hills that fall down to the sea are very suitable for viticulture. The mountains of clay and limestone produce some of the best wines in the world, including the famous Moscatel from Setúbal. But also the Castelão Spätlese is well matured to a very elegant, balanced and multi-faceted pleasure.

You will be picked up at the meeting point around 9 am and taken to the wine tasting in Arrábida National Park. The tour guide takes you through the breathtaking nature to two of the best known and established wineries. There you will learn about the subtleties of wine tasting, how best to taste these fine drinks and above all which wines you can taste together. While travelling through Arrábida National Park in Portugal for a wine tasting there is enough time to visit the coast, where the crystal clear turquoise sea rolls against the vineyards. What remains are extremely fine sandy beaches that invite you to linger.

For lunch we recommend a visit to one of the many restaurants around Setúbal with the wine on this tour. The local fishing tradition means that almost every restaurant has its own family dish as a speciality of the house and fish goes perfectly with the local wines. Embark on a culinary and cultural journey through the natural beauty of Portugal in Arrábida National Park, with friends or family who are also passionate wine connoisseurs.

Please note that children can participate in this wine tour in Portugal, but wine tasting is allowed from 18 years of age. The tour price does not include food and drinks in the restaurant. Included in the price is the pick up from the meeting point to the national park and the return trip, professional guide, wine tasting, insurance, taxes and sightseeing. Don't forget your camera and capture the enchanting surroundings in pictures!

Even if I didn't understand everything

Because my school English is already so rusty, I really enjoyed the tour. There were so many beautiful things to see, smell, taste and enjoy. Four stars plus from me!

A culinary experience -

But not only the tongue and the palate were really spoiled. All the senses were positively stimulated by the landscape, the sea, and eating and drinking. I enjoyed the whole day to the full. Thank you.

Setúbal was at his best

I have vacationed here several times. This day trip from Lisbon shows me completely new perspectives. The wine tastings were the highlight of the day for me. I am happy to do this tour again - hopefully next year.
