Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura

The Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura opened in 1985. It startedas a small garden centre with plants from all over the world. Today it's the only botanical garden of Fuerteventura with more than 150,000 square metres. At the same time, the zoological garden was founded. Little by little, the park specialised on animals from the African savannah. They live in generously designed compounds, which are modelled realistically on their natural habitat, in order to make the animals feel comfortable and to allow visitors seeing them moving freely.

At Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura, you will find over 3000 animals of about 250 different species on more than 1 million square metres in an environment characterized by the thousands of tropical plants, succulents, cactus and ornamental plants surrounding the enclosure. The park is doing an immense public relations work by informing extensively about endangered species and contributes to the preservation of endangered animals with their participation in international breeding programs, i.e. for the North African Cuvier's gazelle. Highlights of the Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura are the Flamingo Lake, the area dedicated to the animals of the African savannah, the corridor of Madagascar, where visitors can get to know the lemurs closely and without separation, as well as the giraffe compound, where you can encounter, feed and caress them. There are also shows with parrots, sea lions and birds of prey. You will also find playgrounds, restaurants and much more to take a little break of the huge park and its attractions.
