If you start paragliding in Crete at the famous Falasarna Beach, it goes up from a 250 meter high hill into the sky and you land at the end of the flight directly at the beach. Afterwards there is time for a refreshment in the crystal clear water. Paragliding from Avdou, a world-famous departure point, can reach an altitude of more than 1200 metres. The nearby artificial lake below you offers a wonderful panorama. When you reach sufficient height with a paraglider, you can see the north coast, sometimes even the island of Santorini in a clear atmosphere. The starting point Varipetro leads you on a mountain and you start 500 m above sea level, sail over a small lake and enjoy a wonderful view of the north coast from a height of up to 1000 meters. North winds are a prerequisite for starting here. On some days you fly here together with the vultures through the air, which can reach a span of up to 2.5 meters.

Depending on your wishes, you will meet on the booked day near Chania at one of the three possible starting points and will then be taken to the departure point. There you will get acquainted with the equipment and receive an introduction from the paragliding crew. You will be explained exactly what you have to consider during take-off and landing. Seat belts connect you with the tandem pilot and the paraglider. Finally we start on an elevation. You walk downhill in quick steps until you finally take off from the ground - an indescribable feeling! While paragliding in Crete you can reach a considerable height.
