Detailed description

Lisbon sightseeing tour – go on a journey of discovery with children

Discovering Lisbon on a sightseeing tour with the whole family can a tough task for the little ones. Not this Lisbon city tour, which takes you trough the Baixa, Ribeira, Bica, Bairro Alto and Chiado districts. Fun is guaranteed! While you learn more about the city, the culture and the sights, your childreen will be engaged into learning while having fun. The local guide will lead you to the most important sights and you will learn more about Lisbon's history, the main events, the major visiting sites and the symbols of the city. This entertaining exploration tour will give you a good overview of the city centre.

The upper town (= Bairro Alto) captivates with its special charm in the narrow, winding and cobbled streets. Fortunately, the district was largely spared by the severe earthquake of 1755. The old houses and the authentic flair give an idea of how people lived here many hundreds of years ago. Today Bairro Alto is the pub district of the city. Bars, restaurants and pubs, where visitors can listen to the traditional Faro sounds, are lined up.

Since 1892 in Bairro Alto runs the historic funiculars railway, the Elevador da Bica. Here you and your children will board the funicular to reach the higher part of the district. The ride will be a great experience for youngsters and grownups, as it's a steep climb! The tram was put into service because the horse tram could not reach the higher areas of the city due to the gradient. From here you can see up to the castle "Castelo de São Jorge".

The sightseeing tour in Lisbon is child-friendly, informative and authentic. The city walk takes you further into the Baixa district (= lower town). Here life is raging, because you are in the historical centre of Lisbon. After the devastating earthquake, Baixa had to be completely rebuilt. Here you will find the famous triumphal arch "Arco da Rua Augusta", on which you can also climb, and the magnificent shopping street "Rua Augusta", and the incredible views to the Tagus river. This Lisbon walking tour is one of the activities for children, where even adults don't miss out – simply great!

Elevador da Bica - high above the city. tears of joy. Like children with astonished eyes. The pain of remembering Big recommendation!

Lisboa – Du schöne, stinkende, betörende…

Elevador da Bica – hoch über der Stadt. Tränen der Freude. Wie Kinder mit staunenden Augen. Der Schmerz der Erinnerung. Dicke Empfehlung!

Family-friendly tour - a great experience

We wanted to discover the capital in a traditional way. The kids really had a great time. The tour guide was friendly and competent. The only drawback: 155 euros for the family ticket is not exactly cheap ... but it's worth it

Familiengerechte Tour – Ein tolles Erlebnis

Get to know Lisbon in an intimate way

In my opinion, Baixa and Mairro Alto are the most beautiful and surprising districts of Lisbon. I also liked the tour because it was a small friendly group. Gladly again!

Gerne wieder!
