So close to swimming with dolphins: intimate animal encounters in Lanzarote
In the famous Zoo Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, you make friends with dolphins and sea lions - it's as good as swimming with dolphins, but you show more respect to the animals! Choose between two extraordinary animal encounters in Lanzarote, both are only possible by booking beforehand and are not available on the spot. To meet the dolphins or sea lions in Rancho Texas Park, you must also purchase an entrance ticket to the park. The following applies to both of the special encounters:

Option 1: Dolphin encounter in Lanzarote

On the dolpin encounter you'll not only get to know interesting information about the incredible anatomy of the dolphins, but you can also pet, stroke and hear the dolphins. Find out more about the habits of the dolphins and put yourself in the place of the dolphin trainer, who will explain the behaviour of the fascinating animals to you. Everybody from 8 and up can get up close and personal with the dolphins in Lanzarote (8 to 12 year olds need to be accompanied by an adult).

Option 2: Sea lion encounter in Lanzarote
Use the unique opportunity to get to know the playful sea lions in Lanzarote at close quarters! In Rancho Texas Park, you can get close to the sea lions and cuddle, hug or even kiss the beautiful animals. Feel how the sea lions swim inbetween your legs or how they do elaborate jumps. During the encounter with the sea lions in Puerto del Carmen, you'll obtain lots of information about the nimble sea dwellers and their habits. Although you can't swim with dolphins in Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, you won't miss it when you get in very close contact with the bright sea lions! Everybody from 7 and up can get up close and personal with the sealions in Lanzarote (up to 14 year olds need to be accompanied by an adult).

- Attention! An advance booking and reservation for this experience is mandatory. A local booking is not possible.
- The animal encounters with dolphins and sea lions take place in small groups with a maximum of 12 people.
- You are allowed to go into the water with the animals and touch and stroke them in the shallow pool area. Entry to the deep pool area is not possible. Out of consideration for the animals and in order to guarantee the highest possible safety, the animal keepers decide in individual cases how close you can get to the dolphins and sea lions.

- Minimum age for the dolphin encounters in Lanzarote: 6 years
- Minimum size: 1.10 m
- Children up to 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult (who also pays for their interaction).

Intimate encounters with animals in Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park - feels just like swimming with dolphins
Many people dream all their life about swimming with dolphins and even just touching them - you now have the chance to pet and stroke dolphins in Lanzarote! At Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park in Puerto del Carmen, you can meet and greet dolphins or sea lions (whichever you prefer) in the shallow pool area under the supervision of an experienced animal trainer and get to know the beautiful creatures up close and personal. You'll get to experience the dolphins and sea lions face-to-face and you can touch and cuddle the wonderful animals. You'll learn lots of interesting things about their typical habits during the encounter and from the trainer.
During the special experience in Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, which offers a good alternative to swimming with dolphins, you don't need to know how to swim, as you are in relatively shallow water and will be wearing a life jacket. For anybody who needs to borrow a wetsuits, the park has some to hire. Instructed by the experienced trainers, you'll directly get into the water with the sea lions and dolphins. The playful animals freely move around in the pool and get very close to you. You get to know the dolphins in an intimate way or hug the sweet sea lions and watch their elegant jumps.
You'll also need an entry ticket for Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park to take part in this special experience, which also enables you to enjoy the entire day in the zoo in Puerto del Carmen, even after your animal encounter. The exceptional zoo and water park is awaiting you with a large variety of exotic animals and fascinating animal shows. For children, lots of additional activities are provided, such as canoeing and pony riding. For cooling off on hot days, you can get into the pools and go on the slides; you'll spend a fantastic day at Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park that you won't forget in a hurry.
Even though you can't swim with the dolphins and sea lions, it is still a special and memorable experience!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time at Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park. The dolphin encounter was absolutely magical. We were allowed to stroke the intelligent animals and learned a lot about their behaviour. The trainers were super friendly and gave us lots of exciting information. The whole experience was well organised and the groups were small, which made it very intimate. The equipment with life jackets was also great. An absolute must if you are in Lanzarote. Bloody hell, if you're into animals, this is the place to be! Me and my mate headed over to Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park in mid season, and let me tell ya, it was a blast. We got up close and personal with dolphins - no swimming, but we did get to pet and stroke the buggers. You get a life jacket, and there's a pro guide to make sure you don't muck it up. It's a bit pricey, but worth every cent. The sea lions were a right laugh too, hugging and playing around. Didn't even matter that we weren't in deep water. I went to Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park with a friend in high season and did the animal encounter with the dolphins. Man, it was almost as good as swimming with real dolphins! You could stroke the animals in the shallow water and interact with them. The guide was great and told us a lot about the dolphins. The only downside is that you have to book in advance, which is a bit inconvenient, and the price is pretty steep. But hey, when do you ever get the chance to get so close to these amazing animals? Ich war mit einem Freund in der Hochsaison im Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park und habe die Tierbegegnung mit den Delfinen gemacht. Mann, das war fast so gut wie richtiges Schwimmen mit Delfinen! Man konnte die Tiere im flachen Wasser streicheln und mit ihnen interagieren. Der Guide war super und hat uns viel über die Delfine erzählt. Die 25 Minuten vergingen wie im Flug.Einziger Nachteil: Man muss vorher buchen, was etwas unpraktisch ist, und der Preis ist ziemlich happig. Aber hey, wann hat man schon mal die Chance, so nah an diese tollen Tiere ranzukommen? Alles in allem ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das ich jedem Tierliebhaber empfehlen kann. Packt eure Badesachen und los geht's!
