The SUP course takes place at the beautiful Riumar Beach on the Costa Dorada. You will learn from professional instructors to stand safely on the surfboard and to hike with the paddle on the water. At the beginning of the course there are dry runs on the beach, after that you will go on the water with the board and you will make your first standing attempts and ride the SUP. The Stand Up Paddling Training is suitable for children from 8 years and for adults. You do not need any previous knowledge.

Holiday fun with the SUP at Riumar Beach - great beginner course on the Costa Dorada

More than 200 kilometres of golden coastline lie before you in northeastern Spain: the Costa Dorada. Where the Ebro River, which gave its name to one of Spain's most beautiful nature parks, flows into the Mediterranean, begins the fine sandy, endlessly long beach of Riumar. Here active vacationers, water nixen and also sun worshippers come at your expense. In this area, the shore gently merges into the sea, making the coast at the Ebro Delta a safe starting point for all kinds of water sports - also for Stand Up Paddling. For the 1hour SUP course at Riumar Beach we have chosen the perfect area for you to dive into the world of canoeing. And this in front of the wonderful scenery of Catalonia.

The course is suitable for children from 8 years and for adults. No previous knowledge of Stand Up Paddling is required. At Riumar Beach on the Costa Dorada you will learn to keep your balance on the water and to ride the waves with your board. The professional teachers in this SUP course address the specifics and needs of each individual student. On the beach, the basics of navigation and positioning on the board are taught. With this knowledge it then goes to the Mediterranean. There you will stand on the board and find your balance, while you dive with the paddle into the water and move meter by meter over the water surface. Stand Up Paddling has a relaxing effect on the mind and trains the whole body at the same time - a great balance.

If you are not on your surfboard for the first time, you can refine your technique and learn new manoeuvres in this SUP course on the Costa Dorada, then hike along the coast of Riumar and see the unique natural landscape around the Ebro Delta. The wetland of the same name is the second largest in Spain and is also one of the attractions on Riumar Beach and the Costa Dorada because of its biodiversity.
