Detailed description

Bologna - Ideal for Segway Tours

Bologna is considered one of the most advanced cities in Italy and has the second largest and best preserved historical city centre in Italy. Its architecture is known for its tones of red terracotta and warm yellow, hence the name Bologna la rossa (Bologna the Red). The vast centre of the city, with its kilometre-long covered streets, the so-called "Porticos", is one of the best preserved in Europe and is easily accessible by Segway with tours through Bologna.

Bologna is also the seat of the oldest university in Western Europe, founded at the beginning of the eleventh century. The city's strategic location has also shaped its history. Inhabited since the tenth century BC, it was fortified by the Celts and became an autonomous city under the Romans. The invasion of the Huns and the presence of the Goths, Lombards, Franks and French left traces that can still be seen today on the Segway Tour in Bologna.

A Segway Tour in Bologna can be experienced from its best side from the beginning of March to October, when it is already warm and the inhabitants drink and eat outside, or enjoy the mild evenings in squares like Piazza Santo Stefano or Piazza Maggiore. In July and August, however, it can be particularly hot and humid and crowded with tourists. In high summer, August, many shops and restaurants are unfortunately closed due to the summer holidays. During the winter months it can be cold, but Bologna has a kind of winter spring over two weeks before Christmas.

Sightseeing in a very comfortable way

Exploring the city by Segway is a lot of fun, we had seen great things and didn't have to walk everything as usual.

Sightseeing auf ganz bequeme Art und Weise

Die Stadt mit dem Segway zu erkunden, macht besonders viel Spass, wir hatten tolle Sachen gesehen und mussten nicht alles zu Fuss gehen, wie sonst üblich.
