Half day excursion to noble wineries on the peninsula Setúbal in Portugal
Meet your tour guide at a meetingpoint in Lisbon and start your half-day journey to the Setúbal peninsula through the beautiful nature of the Atlantic coast. Your guide will lead you through the wide green pastures, past hills and mountains that are used for the famous Portuguese wines. The clay and limestone subsoil not only provides a good base for traditional Portuguese wines, but other wines are also successfully planted here. Wines like the "Moscatel" or the "Castelão" are not only in recent history internationally desired noble drops. Already in the Middle Ages the area around the peninsula Setúbal in Portugal was a sought-after exporter of wine.
On the traces of history the guide takes you to two selected, well-known wineries, where you as a real wine connoisseur but also as a beginner carry out a real wine tasting. Don't be afraid of critical glances, because the tour includes a course for professional wine tasting so that you too can master the right techniques in the future. Children are welcome to accompany the tour with their parents, but the wine may only be tasted from the age of 18. But even without wine tasting, this tour on the Setúbal peninsula in Portugal offers enough picturesque scenery worth seeing with the clear sea rolling rushing against the gentle sandy beaches. The sheep on the pastures are used for the production of the unique Azeitao cheese. Would you like some cheese with your wine?
