Full Day Bus Tour Starting in Barcelona: History and Nature

The bus round trip along Costa Brava starts at the North Bus Station in Barcelona. The first stop is the fishing village Calella de Palafrugell. It's well-known for its traditional flair and the shallow bays. Here you've got enough time to get impressed by the whitewashed houses and enjoy the views. To explore the coast a bit better, afterwards you'll walk relaxedly for half an hour until reaching the neighbouring village Llafranc. This round ways are called Caminos de Ronda. Here you always have great views to the sea, while walking through enchanting pine groves and hidden steep cliffs - this views you'll only get when you're exploring the shore by foot.

From Llafranc the route continues to Pals, a medieval city located quite high in the mountains. A stroll through the cobbled streets, passing by stone gates and the round city tower directly takes you back into the 12th century. In L'Estartit, you'll stop for a typical Spanish lunch. After lunch it's time to get on board of the boat that takes you out to the Islas Medes. The islands are a natural park famous for its varying underwater world. Through the panoramic windows of the boat you can check out the underwater world. At the end of the bus tour along Costa Brava, you'll have another historical stop: In Empúries, an antic site is waiting for you. Here you can see the remains of a Greek acropolis and a Roman amphitheatre. You sightseeing tour of Costa Brava ends back in Barcelona.
