Detailed description

Snorkelling in Formentera - the little paradise at Ibiza

Formentera has something that others do not have in such abundance: Neptunas. This beautiful underwater plant provides the paradise-blue water around the small island, plenty of oxygen, an enviable biodiversity and magnificent underwater television. It's no coincidence that snorkelling is one of the most popular water sports activities in Formentera. There is a lot to discover and the feeling of swimming in this sea blue is simply fantastic. You will get to know some of the best spots on the 4-hour tour starting in La Savina. The adventure begins with a short hike through the shallow sea to the boat. There is a short briefing on board and then it's off to snorkel on Formentera!

The first stop is the island of Espalmador, which is only a few swimming trains away from Formentera. There you will have one hour's stay to explore the little paradise. From the neighbouring island we continue to the marinepark in the Cala del Moro. A refuge in Caribbean look with water in the most beautiful colours and lots of fish to watch. There are fins, diving goggles and snorkels on board, so you can get to the bottom of this fascinating world directly from the boat. For non-swimmers there are vests on board.

Your travel boat has a refrigerator, shower and a sunblind and yet so little draught that you can travel very close to the coastline and reach some quiet bays that can only be reached from the water. The boat has a maximum capacity of 12 persons. It will be an almost familiar Formentera excursion.

Another highlight of this Formentera boat tour is the cave swimming in the mysterious bays hidden behind the rocks. There the water has different colours and you will certainly develop a spirit of discovery when you swim and snorkel. Alternatively, you can explore the meadows of Neptunga under an imposing cliff of the cliffs. The last stop of this expedition is the bay of Cala Saona, for many the most beautiful Formentera bay of all. This is mainly due to the interplay of red stone and blue sea colours and this almost golden light.
