Adventurous Snorkeling "La Reserva Marina" in Menorca's north

This snorkelling trip in Menorca allows you to visit the island's most important protected marine area: La Reserva Marina. Since 1999 this area on the north coast has been under protection. Thanks to far-reaching measures that regulate fishing, among other things, the underwater world has been able to recover and is now one of the most impressive settings for snorkelling and diving in Menorca. It is not only the crystal-clear visibility that prevails underwater, but also the diversity of species that makes a dive in this area a real pleasure.

We start our snorkelling tour from Fornells by boarding a speedboat. This way we quickly reach a special snorkelling spot in the protected area. With the equipment and a skilled guide, we go into the water and have the opportunity to meet some of the inhabitants here. In the north of Menorca, it is easy to see species such as moray eels, groupers, octopus and mullets.

A good tip, not only for this snorkelling trip from Fornells, is to make sure you swim calmly so the fish don't move away. More secluded spots are also better for snorkelling than where there are lots of people. Also look under the boat, this is where the fish often gather.
