Detailed description

Adventurous Snorkeling "La Reserva Marina" in Menorca's north

On this trip you make different snorkeling tours in a marine reserve in the north of the island. You start at the base station in Puerto de Fornells by speedboat from 8 meters in length and head towards Cueva del Vell Marí. In this cave you make the first snorkeling tour. Then visit the cliffs of Cavalleria, where you go snorkeling for the second time. You will be swimming in the fantastic turquoise water and taking a cooled drink on board, before returning to the port. For great underwater shots please bring an appropriate camera - there is much to see! In this nature reserve you will find groupers, moray eels, starfish, squid, mullet and more. Also there are some sea urchins.

The reserve is divided into different zones: Zone A is the most protected and the zone B the least. Here are a few beaches in the north, which are well suited for snorkeling: Caló d'en Sintes (Zona C), Caló d'Alfurinet (Zona C), Macar d'Alfurinert (Zona A), Cala Pilar (Zona A) , Cala Moragues (Zona A), Cala en Calderer (Zona A), Cala Barril (Zona A), Cala Pregonda (Zona C), Cala Binimel·là (Zona C), Cala Mica (Zona C), Cala Cavalleria (Zona C), Cala Torta (Zona C), Cala Viola de Ponent (Zona C), Cala Viola de Llevant (Zona C), Cala Tirant (Zona C).

A good tip is to also ensure that you float quietly, so the fish do not leave. At more remote locations there is better snorkeling, than where many people are. You can also look under rocks, where the fish often gather. Likewise, they often swim near anchors because they hope for food.

Valid on the reserved day or for 12 months after date of purchase if no date has been selected. You will receive the tour operator's details with the purchased ticket. Attention: reservation is required! The reservation can be made through sunbonoo as part of the booking process or later by contacting the tour operator directly via phone or email.
