Priorat wine region with tasting

The Priorat region offers a variety of interesting activities for wine lovers and nature lovers. There is a lot of untouched nature on the quiet hiking trails. Tiny villages, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves give this area an idyllic touch. Wine and culinary delights are the top priorities here, making the Priorat wine region a paradise for connoisseurs and nature lovers.  

One of the first-class wine-growing regions is the region around Priorat. As the only area in Catalonia with DOC designation (quality mark for controlled designation of origin), you can enjoy a beautiful half-day excursion of approx. 4 - 5 hours from the province of Tarragona. The price includes free transport to and from your hotel on the Costa Dorada in Salou, Cambrils, La Pineda and Playa Miami. The tour has a total length of approximately 100 km with return trip.

Picked up by your transport, you will head towards the Priorat Mountains, where you will visit a great winery. In the Cornudella de Montsant you have the possibility to taste 3 Priorat wines in different stages of development. You will be accompanied for 1 hour by a guide who will explain interesting details about the wine making process. The monks began there in the twelfth century with the local wine production. They virtually discover the origins of the Priorat wine region and taste popular Priorat wine in the modern wine cellar. The wines produced there now enjoy a good international reputation.

wine!

I visited Priorat winery and it was an experience! The scenery was stunning and the wines were really tasty. The tour was well organised and the guide knew a lot about the history of the wines. The transport was smooth and the schedules were kept. If you are interested in wines, I highly recommend this tour. A little pricey, but definitely worth the money. 🍷

Kävin Priorat-viinitilalla ja olihan se kokemus! Maisemat olivat upeat ja viinit todella maistuvia. Retki oli hyvin järjestetty ja opas tiesi paljon viinien historiasta. Kuljetus oli sujuvaa ja aikataulut pitivät. Jos viinit kiinnostaa, suosittelen tätä kiertuetta. Vähän hintava, mutta ehdottomasti hintansa arvoinen. 🍷

Wine and landscape, a great experience!

The wine tasting in Priorat was amazing. Although I travelled alone, I enjoyed the scenery and the wines. The guide was informative and friendly, recommended for wine and nature lovers!

the wines are good and the scenery is beautiful, but the length of the tour feels a bit short. still, a good experience overall.
