The day trip offers a combination of sightseeing, culture and getting close to nature, so it makes for an eventful excursion on Tenerife. Once you have been picked up from the south, we will go directly to La Laguna, a historical jewel and world heritage site, where a rich history is concentrated in a very narrow space. Walking through the city it is easy and pleasant. We will stop for about 1.5 hours before we head for another highlight with the Mercedes forest. This nature reserve welcomes us with wild, lush greenery, ferns, lichens and the famous laurel.

The epitome of authenticity on Tenerife is the fishing village of Taganana, which is situated on the northern slope of the Anaga Mountains and accessible along a narrow road that’s not for the faint hearted. The ascent is worth it and we will stop there for lunch (food is not included). On the way back to the south we will drive to the beach, the only one with white sand: Teresitas. We will stop to take some photos before we start our return journey.

Detailed description

Day trip on Tenerife to La Laguna, Taganana & Teresitas (transfer from the south)

Far up in the northeast, Tenerife is another island. The landscape and culture of this region is different from the sun-drenched south, with all of its beaches. Bring able to discover a news side to the Canary Island with this day trip on Tenerife makes it even nicer. The day trip offers a charming combination of sightseeing, tradition, history, getting close to nature and beach views, which make it a special experience.

The first stop on the day trip in a comfortable coach is the world heritage city of La Laguna (actually San Cristóbal de la Laguna). Here you can walk through the city's rich history, but also through an essential part of Spanish history. We have planned to stop here for about 1.5-hours, which is enough to reach the most important parts of the historical old city on foot and to soak up some of the flair of the cathedral and university city.

After this cultural experience we continue the day trip on Tenerife as we head towards Taganana. On the way there we pass like the beautiful Monte de las Mercedes. This nature reserve is known for its magical laurel forest and it will ofgivefer us some beautiful views as well as some great subjects for photos. We will find both in Taganana. The picturesque village is situated on the northern slope of the Anaga Mountains. The sea spreads out below it. We will give you time to go for a walk or have lunch (not included) in this small and very traditional fishing village.

With our batteries recharged and enchanted by this beautiful village, we get ready for the next highlight of the Tenerife day trip: the fantastic beach of Teresitas. The fact that sand from the Sahara has contributed to this beach does not disturb the idyllic scene at all. In contrast to the usual lava beaches, the Playa de las Teresitas is almost a small Caribbean oasis and definitely one of the most popular subjects for photos on the island. We will also stop to take some pictures here, so that you can capture your own views of this unique location. This is the final stop on the day trip - we then return to the south of Tenerife on the coach.
