Numerous species of whales and dolphins have made their home in the Atlantic or pass through these seas on their migratory routes. The south coast of Tenerife is one of the hotspots for whale and dolphin sightings. It is not without reason that boat tours to the dolphin schools start there every day. The understanding for the sensitive animals and the idea of sustainability have led many providers to a respectful treatment of the marine fauna and to a different kind of whale-watching tours.
