First, you will drive with the ferry boat to San Sebastian in La Gomera, where you will learn about the flora and traditions of La Gomera in the visitors center of "Juego de Bolas": You'll start the walk from the Garajonay national park at the "witche's dance ground" Laguna Grande through the huge laurel forest "El Cedro". The guide will give interesting information about the country and its people during the hiking tour. With a candle in your hand you cross the water tunnel and at the same time it is the end of the hiking tour - afterwards you take the ferry back to Tenerife.

Explore Tenerife's green neighbor island La Gomera on a guided hike

Tenerife has a varied landscape and offers ideal conditions for hikers and active holidaymakers with a pleasant, sunny climate all year round. Our German partner, which carries out the hiking tours on Tenerife, has already since 1993 experience and will take care of you particularly attentively. On the way to the starting point of the hikes you will meet your trained and experienced hiking guide, who will accompany you throughout the day and give you interesting information about Tenerife and Gomera, the flora and fauna. You start with the ferry on Tenerife to La Gomera, where you start your 4-hour hike in San Sebastian. The ticket for the ferry crossing is already included in the price.


Arrived in the capital of La Gomera, San Sebastian, you can learn more about the unique botany and the typical traditions of La Gomera in the visitor centre "Juego de Bolas". The bus will take you to the Garajonay National Park, in the middle of which you will find the legendary "Laguna Grande" witches' dance floor, from where you can start your magnificent hike. You will walk through the lush rainforests of "El Cedro", one of the largest laurel forests in the world. In addition to unique nature, you will also learn a lot about the country and its people thanks to a local guide. The day is rounded off with a visit to a water tunnel, which you pass through adventurously with a candle in your hand. The 4-hour hiking route ends again in San Sebastian and you return by ferry to Tenerife, where you can relax and relive the day's experiences.

Good for beginners!

Basically, I really liked the hiking tour to La Gomera. The organization was first class and the route was well chosen. However, the level of the group was a bit too easy for you. I would have hoped for a more strenuous climb. La Gomera itself is an absolute paradise and has a very impressive fauna and flora. I can only recommend everyone to visit this island!

Gut für Anfänger!

Also grundsätzlich hat mir die Wandertour nach La Gomera sehr gut gefallen. Die Organisation war erstklassig und die Route war gut gewählt. Jedoch war das Niveau der Gruppe für dich dann doch etwas zu einfach. Ich hätte mir einen etwas anstrengenderen Aufstieg erhofft. La Gomera an sich ist ein absolutes Paradies und hat eine sehr beeindruckende Fauna und Flora. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen diese Insel einmal zu besichtigen!

Beautiful hiking trip!

We really enjoyed this hiking tour in La Gomera. The landscape is more beautiful than in Tenerife and the island seems to be less crowded. The tour guide Juan was friendly and gave us a lot of interesting information. Thank you!

A beautiful landscape!

We really enjoyed this hike on La Gomera. It is a very different and unique island. The only thing I did not like is that we had to get up early for the pick up and arrived at the Hotel after dinner.

Disfrutamos mucho esta caminata en La Gomera. Es una isla muy distinta y unica. Lo unico que no me gustó es que tuvimos que madrugar para la recogida y llegamos al Hotel despues de la cena.
