The 2-hour boat trip starts in the port of Los Cristianos and takes us directly out into the Atlantic Ocean for a few nautical miles to look out for whales and dolphins. Our boat is equipped with a propeller that is secured in the hull level, which makes less noise under water and also protects the marine life. Our crew will spend the boat trip to tell the passengers more about the life of the whales and dolphins in the seas around Tenerife. After all, it is always a matter of luck to meet the animals in the wild, but the crew has a lot of experience with the wildlife and knows their habitats. When we approach the whales, we switch off the engine so that we can enjoy the encounter in peace. After whale watching we drive back to the south coast and anchor for a short break in the Atlantic Ocean. After refreshment we return to the harbour of Los Cristianos.

Thoughtful whale watching experience in Tenerife

Keep an eye out for whales and dolphins during your Tenerife holiday - during a 2-hour boat trip from Los Cristianos. Look forward to a unique nature experience. Captain and crew will prepare an interesting and entertaining excursion for you. With a bit of luck we will have an encounter with the impressive sea creatures. The crew of our whale-boat is one of the most experienced of the whole island. For more than 20 years the small team has been making whale watching excursions on Tenerife and is one of the pioneers in the southwest of the island. The whaleboat has been awarded a blue flag. The badge stands for a respectful and sustainable treatment of the sea inhabitants. In order to better protect whales and dolphins, which are naturally curious enough to approach a boat, the propeller of the boat has been covered. In case of sightings, the engine is also turned down very quietly or throttled back completely so that the whales are not deterred by noise.

The Tenerife Whale-Watching-Tour goes from the harbour in Los Cristianos directly to the Atlantic Ocean. About 3 nautical miles off the coast it slowly starts to tingle. It is the right distance to watch whales. They are often ahead of the much more shy dolphins on the boat. We would like to give every passenger the opportunity to collect great impressions from this nature observation or to take pictures. Please note that the sea can be very turbulent during the boat trips on Tenerife. We recommend that guests who are prone to seasickness take a travel tablet at least 1 hour before the trip. The modern whaleboat is very stable in the water thanks to its low centre of gravity and the captain manoeuvres the boat confidently even through waves if necessary. A small boat also allows for the most realistic and natural contact with the whales possible.

Depending on how much time we spend during the boat trip searching for and if possible close to the whales and dolphins, the whale watching is followed by a short swimming break in the coastal area. You can jump into the water with a view of one of the beaches directly from the boat before we return to the harbour of Los Cristianos.
