Trekking in the Torrent de Pareis in Mallorca begins at 630 metres above sea level Escorca. In the middle of the dreamlike Tramuntana you start the tour through the Paradise Gorge at the side of an experienced hiking guide. Despite the difficulty of the gorge hike, no climbing equipment is required. Experience in mountaineering and hiking, good physical fitness and suitable clothing are required. For about an hour we hike on the mountain range into the Lluc gorge and finally arrive at the entrance to the Torrent de Pareis, which we cross on a fantastic route. During the descent we enjoy the view of Puig Roig and the houses of Cosconar as well as the Karabinieri barracks. The tour ends at Sa Calobra, where we take a break for a swim depending on the season and the betting location.

Trekking in the Torrent de Pareis - Hiking tour through the Paradise Gorge

Perhaps one of the most difficult, but also one of the most beautiful hiking tours on Mallorca: Trekking in the Torrent de Pareis is an extraordinary experience and an adventure. The path from the entrance to the gorge down to the sea is exhausting and not very easy, but it is worthwhile to get involved in this descent. While the sun and clouds cast a unique shadow on the vegetation of the huge mountain slopes, you can enjoy an impressive natural spectacle while trekking in the Torrent de Pareis.

The approximately 6-hour hiking tour through the Paradise Gorge starts early in the morning in Escorca. There you will meet your guide, with whom you will tackle this exciting hike. The professional guide will then check your clothes before you start. This hike is a challenge for experienced hikers and mountaineers, so proper equipment is required. What you don't need on the route is climbing gear or other ropes. After heavy rain, a wetsuit can be useful if you don't want to get wet in places.

The guide chooses a comfortable route through the enchanting mountain landscape, takes you on the paved mountain road into the gorge of Lluc with the Entreforc, a geological sensation. There we turn into the Torrent de Pareis. At the bed of the gorge we move between rock formations up to 200 metres high and past a flora with more than 300 different species. During the whole hiking tour in the Paradise Gorge we get along without climbing equipment, but not without climbing practice. There are some obstacles in the gorge over which we courageously hike. Condition as well as absolute surefootedness are absolutely necessary for this difficult tour. If you enjoy the fabulous views of the Puig Roig, the houses of Cosconar, the border of Ies Farines, the Karabinieri barracks, the gorge of Es Boverons and much more, we recommend to stop.

Trekking in the Torrent of the Pareis you can also pass the cave of Es Soldat Pelut, the basin of Es Capellá, the cave of Es Romagueral and much more. After the difficult descent, you can also take a dip in the Sa Calobra estuary. At the end of the tour, participants can choose whether to return to Port Soller by public bus or boat (tickets not included).
