You know the famous love story of Romeo and Juliet? Discover the city of this dramatic love story by bike. Verona has valuable monuments and old quarters, majestic buildings and hidden lanes. This approximately 3-hour tour on a high quality bicycle takes you to the city's monuments, but offers space to discover an authentic Verona. The bike tour through Verona is designed for a small group of 2 to 12 people and is included in the price: Tour guide, ½ bottle of water, bicycle, taxes and bicycle accessories (helmet, bicycle lock, side pocket). Excluded from the price are fees, entrance fees to the monuments, food, drinks, gratuities or other expenses.
By bike you will discover Verona first along the Adige river, from where you can enjoy the best views. You cross the Ponte Pietra and can walk or take the cable car to have a breathtaking view of the city from Castel San Pietro. This is truly a wonderful vantage point to admire Verona's panoramic beauty. The professional guide at your side will tell you about traditional dishes and tell you where to try a delicious homemade ice cream or drink a good glass of wine. You will also be told about legends, secrets, customs and curiosities of the old town.
You will be given answers to the following questions, such as: what was Verona like when the Adige River was still accessible to ships? Where did Romeo and Juliet get married? Where was the first Pandoro baked? What is the whale rib hanging on the Roman forum of Piazza Erbe? What happens when you walk under the Fracastoro statue? What does goto mean?
