Valpolicella wine region with a guided bike tour visit
The Gourmet Bicycle Tour departs from Verona at 09:30 a.m. in the morning: at the agreed meeting point in the city centre you will meet your professional guide who will accompany you throughout the 3-hour bike tour and wine tasting. You will leave the city of love and cycle towards the lands of Valpolicella in the Veneto region, the northern part of the province of Verona. You will have an excellent view of the magnificent vineyards, past the gentle streams to the winery called "Musella Canteen", where delicious organic wine is produced.
The Valpolicella Tour takes you through the splendid landscape of Villa Balladoro Malfatti, home to the medieval castle of Montorio. Built around 995, the fortress still has four of the eight original towers and you can still see remains of the former barracks of the Austrian artillery. The name "Valpolicella" originates from different Italian words, which together mean "valley of many wineries". Characteristic for the wines of this region is a light almond note.
Follow your guide on a pleasant cycle path and reach the Tenuta Musella. This is a manor house from the XVI century and is today a resort and winery with organic wines of the region. From own production you taste excellent wine, among other things also the famous, expensive Amarone, enjoy small Italian snacks, as for example olive paste. During the tasting you will be able to enjoy the view of the river Fibbio and the surrounding gardens.
The highlights of the Valpolicella bike tour are the wine tasting of Valpolicella and Amarone wines. These fine wines will surely remain in your memory. You will also taste grappa, balsamic vinegar and homemade olive pâté. The beautiful Italian landscape with the Montorio Castle and the vineyards are a real pleasure for your eyes. The bike tour is carried out in a small group of 2 to 12 people, so that an exclusive atmosphere is guaranteed during your Valpolicella tour from Verona.

A top class cycling tour
Our bike tour from the city of Verona to the wine country was so much fun. Our tour guide was great. He took us through the city to roads with no traffic but lots of beautiful scenery. We took lots of photos along the way. The ride was not difficult, mostly flat roads. It took us a little over an hour to reach the winery. Once we were there, we explored the grounds and the wines. Unterwegs machten wir jede Menge Fotos. Die Fahrt war nicht schwierig, meist flache Straßen. Wir haben etwas mehr als eine Stunde gebraucht, um das Weingut zu erreichen.
