The full day sightseeing tour from Athens starts at a meeting point in the capital and the transfer to the pretty port city Nafplio, which lies on the Argolic Gulf on the Peloponnese peninsula. After a short safety briefing, the bike tour starts there through the picturesque alleys, which are all too often connected by stone stairs. The old town is beautifully situated on a promontory rising into the Myrtoic Sea and captivates with its special charm. It is famous for its 3 imposing fortresses. Akronauplia is enthroned on the castle hill above the old town, the Venetian Palamidi fortress on a hill can be reached via 999 steps and the Boutzi fortress is located on a small island in front of the harbour basin. Your guide will tell you more about the places you will visit while cycling. You cycle to the Greek National Gallery, which houses paintings from the time when Nafplio became Greece's first capital after the War of Independence in the 19th century. Your guide will take you to the famous Syntagma Square (Constitutional Square), where the Archaeological Museum is housed in a historic building.
