Start your scuba diving experience at Santa Barbara Beach in Corfu. This beautiful spot in the southwest of the island offers perfect conditions for first time divers. The clear waters offer visibility of more than 10 metres in temperatures between 17 and 27 degrees. Below the surface there is a reef full of marine life waiting to be discovered. Before your first dive, you will meet your instructor at the dive centre and receive your equipment. The Discover Scuba Diving course starts with a theory session where you learn the basics of scuba diving. You will then have a look at your equipment and take your first steps in shallow water. As soon as you feel confident, you can make your first dive in 4 to 5 metres of water, accompanied by your instructor.

Diving for beginners in the south of Corfu (Santa Barbara Beach)

Diving in Corfu is something unique and beautiful. An ideal starting point to begin diving or to take a step into a new world with a trial dive on Santa Barbara Beach. Anyone diving for the first time has a lot to learn and put into practice - and has to feel safe in the process. The diving instructors at Santa Barbara Beach Diving School take the time to get beginners into the water with a clear conscience and safe steps. Our taster dives are divided into theory and practice, dry runs and dives.

Before we enjoy the visibility depths of more than ten metres on the reef of Santa Barbara, we go through all the steps in the diving school, we lay the foundations and deal with the handling of the diving equipment. Finally, we are on the beach and make sure that all participants are comfortable with breathing and orientating themselves underwater. If everything is right, we are ready to take our first dives below the surface and slowly gain depth.

Try diving in Corfu is a holiday memory for children too. Our course takes the youngest to a maximum depth of four metres. Older participants and adults have the opportunity to dive to a depth of 5 metres on the reef.

Conditions
