This snorkelling excursion from Santa Barbara Beach is a great way to discover the underwater world of the Ionian Sea with an experienced guide from our diving school. The snorkelling site is located about 800 metres off the coast at Megachoros Reef. Here you will find clear water, colourful fish and, if you are lucky, starfish. The trip starts at the base where you will meet your guide, change and receive your equipment. This includes a wetsuit, mask, fins and snorkel. Together we board the boat and head out to the snorkelling site where we spend approximately one hour in the water.

Snorkelling off the southwest coast of Corfu

When snorkelling in Corfu, you won't see anything - the water at the dive sites is too clear for that. The visibility at Megachoros Reef is said to be up to ten metres, which is not the best in the Ionian Sea. On our snorkelling tour from Santa Barabara beach, we introduce you to a very busy site, which is also one of our divers' favourites.

Megachoros Reef is just off the coast and we take the boat about 800 metres to the reef before jumping into the warm water and being amazed by the underwater world. Every day is different in this little paradise. For the snorkelling tour you will be provided with modern equipment including snorkel, mask and fins. Your guide is a local expert. Let him lead you through this wonderful world.

Shoals of colourful fish and octopus will appear. Some snorkellers are lucky enough to see a starfish floating by, a very special spectacle. The area around Santa Barbara Beach in the south-west of the island is a good place for snorkelling. The beach, which takes its name from the colour of the sand, is located in the municipality of Perivoli and is ideal for swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.
