Elba is a Mediterranean island and belongs to the Tuscan archipelago of the region Tuscany in Italy (province Livorno). It is about ten kilometres from the Italian mainland. From Portoferraio you can reach "Scoglietto", a beautiful little island in the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, in a few minutes by boat. Enjoy snorkelling and diving in this area, where large schools of fish and a beautiful rocky environment beneath the surface can be admired.

From the capital of Elba, Portoferraio, you can reach the small island "Scoglietto. There you can enjoy snorkelling or diving in a beautiful underwater terrain. Before returning to the dive centre, make a detour to the north coast of Elba, where you can see Napoleon's birthplace from the sea.

Snorkelling is a beautiful and relaxing way to explore the colourful and impressive world of the Mediterranean just below the surface. You can observe the underwater landscape with its corals and the marine life, which often keep you company. All this without time pressure and without having to pay attention to special equipment.

Option 2: Your sea christening on Elba: Try Scuba Diving

This activity begins with a brief introduction to diving and the basic rules that make the underwater experience absolutely safe. After this introduction you depart from Portoferraio by a small boat and reach in a few minutes the small island "Scoglietto", in the national park of the Tuscan archipelago.

There they make their first diving experience in shallow water 1:1 together with an instructor. With little knowledge, accompanied by an experienced instructor, you will be able to "walk" underwater, enjoy the landscape, relax and have fun. This underwater walk takes about 2 hours. At the end you will receive a certificate of participation in this adventure.
