From the popular holiday resort of Riumar you start your journey of discovery in a small group with rover-jeeps. Carefully you follow the side paths through the diverse landscape and learn at numerous stops how this ecosystem works and why it is so important. Pick up your binoculars and observe the animals in the lagoons or on the sandbanks that have been created around the Illes Margarita and are a romping place especially for birds. From land we will paddle in a kayak across the calm waters of the Ebro Delta and slowly approach Margarita Island. More than 300 bird species are native to the Ebro Delta, including storks, herons and flamingos.

The Delta is a unique habitat. On an area of 320 square kilometres a fascinating biological structure has formed, embedded in an almost flat landscape that changes with the seasons.
