Around Malcesine there are many days with wind - in the morning from the north, in the afternoon from the south. So you can theoretically stand on the kiteboard almost the whole day and steer your kite over Lake Garda. The boat service of our kite school will take you to the best spots. Enjoy water sports in front of a fantastic scenery and the best care on the board. You can choose between a basic course and an advanced course. A trial lesson is also possible. This applies to all options:

Option 1: Learn Kitesurfing at Lake Garda - Basic Course

For all those who want to learn the basics of kitesurfing, there is the trial lesson and the basic course. If you like, you can test the sail to see if you like the sport and then take the basic course. This includes theory and practical lessons with 3 lessons in the water for a total of about 8 hours. Group lessons are held with a maximum of 3 students. For the duration of the course the complete equipment and a boat service with instructor will be provided.

Option 2: Learn to kitesurf at Lake Garda - Advanced course

Kitesurfers with previous experience can refine their technique and learn new moves in the advanced course. Included in this offer are theoretical lessons on the beach as well as practice in the water. 3 lessons with 7 to 8 hours of training are included, also an experienced trainer is at your side, the complete equipment is provided and the boat service is obligatory. The framework for the advanced program is based on the wishes and abilities of the participants. Topics can include: self-rescue, upwind board recovery, kite control, safety techniques, power strokes, water start, longer rides, upwind riding.

Learn kitesurfing on Lake Garda - Courses for beginners and advanced learners

Lake Garda is becoming more and more popular as a kitesurfing area. This is due to the infrastructure and especially to the good conditions around the largest lake in Italy. Almost always a good wind blows there to steer the kite over the water. And with its size Lake Garda offers enough space for water sports enthusiasts of many disciplines. Malcesine on the eastern shore of Lake Garda has established itself as a starting point for kiters. Here courses are offered for beginners and advanced kitesurfers who want to learn kitesurfing on Lake Garda. The courses basically include a theoretical part with all basics, a training for safety on the kiteboard, worth knowing about the handling of the equipment as well as an essential practical part in the water. Since there are only a few places on Lake Garda where it is possible to get into the water with a kite from the beach, these courses practise the water start. Therefore, you will be taken by boat to the best spots of the day. This has the advantage that during the first rounds you learn to move in deeper water and are always protected by a trainer and boat.

If you are looking for a good introduction to kitesurfing, and you may have noticed during a trial lesson that you would like to go further and higher with the kite, the basic kitesurfing course has all the basics for you. Here you will get a feel for what kitesurfing is all about, how sails and boards work together and how to master both. Kitesurfing at Lake Garda is in season until October. The thermals here are reliable. And from March the first sun worshippers will be on the water again. If you have been on the kiteboard before and just want to refresh or improve your skills, you can work on the important things or special topics such as kite race in a course lasting several hours. A professional instructor will be at your side and the equipment will be provided completely.

Kitesurfing has developed into a trend sport in a very short time, which above all brings fun and the nice feeling to sail only with the wind. Previous knowledge is not necessary if you want to learn kitesurfing at Lake Garda. Only swimming skills are needed because of the water starts. Kitesurfing may not be learned in 2 hours, but if you take the advice and tips during training and don't let them put you off if you don't succeed in surfing the first time, you'll make rapid progress and soon (stay) on the kiteboard by yourself.
