Leaving from the Funchal Marina and heading out to sea towards the horizon, we reach a group of 3 islands, that although they are called Desert islands, are inhabited by numerous wildlife species both marine and land animals. This is only one reason that makes it worth the effort to disembark from the catamaran onto the virgin beach. Come and see this natural paradise for yourself and participate in activities such as standup paddle and snorkelling. All this as part of a memorable 9 hour excursion, with plenty of swimming and a delicious Madeiran buffet lunch on board.

A great day at sea, but a little long

We did the tour to the islands. We were lucky on the way there and saw dolphins, but overall it was a pretty long drive and the children were bored on the way back. A few hours shorter would have been fine. The islands were very impressive for that and we are glad that we did the tour.

Wir haben die Tour zu den Inseln gemacht. Auf dem Hinweg hatten wir Glück und haben Delfine gesehen, aber in Summe war es schon eine ziemlich lange Fahrt und die Kinder waren auf dem Rückweg doch ziemlich gelangweilt. Ein paar Stunden kürzer wäre auch in Ordnung gewesen. Die Inseln waren dafür aber sehr beeindruckend und wir sind froh, dass wir die Tour gemacht haben.

We did the tour to the islands. There is not much to see there. Overall, however, a nice day at sea with many great impressions.

Wir haben die Tour zu den Inseln gemacht. Dort gibt es aber nicht sonderlich viel zu sehen. Insgesamt aber ein schöner Tag auf dem Meer mit vielen tollen Eindrücken.
