Detailed description

Enjoy Sicilian specialities on the guided Palermo Street Food Tour

The largest island in the Mediterranean lies southwest of the toe of the Italian Republic. Etna, at 3345m the largest and most active volcano in Europe, is a characteristic landscape of this blooming island with its beautiful beaches. The typical Mediterranean climate with dry hot summers and humid mild winters is the epitome of holiday sun. A varied flora and fauna makes even tourist hearts beat faster who simply want to enjoy nature. But Sicily is also culturally historic and currently full of exciting surprises.

Sicilian cuisine is also worth a gourmet tour. With this Palermo Street Food Tour you hike with a competent guide, who knows the capital of the island well, through the breathtaking streets, in which architectural styles of many centuries combine in a picturesque way. Walk through shady alleys and ancient paths through Palermo, from market to market. Among them the Capo, Sicily's most famous market or the Vucciria, Palermo's oldest. Here you will experience many local culinary delights, real culinary delights and an exotic selection that you would otherwise have to look for very specifically. In this 3-hour tour, your guide will lead you through a hotchpotch of impressions for the various senses: the immersion in the ancient look of the city combined with modern buildings and technology, the tastes of well-known Italian dishes, alternating with exotic Mediterranean cuisine and Sicilian specialities.

But also over hot, sunny, lively squares, which they reach through cool, shady and quiet alleys. During your Palermo Street Food Tour you will hear cheerful and interesting stories about the kings and queens of history, kingdoms and domains that have made Sicily the fantastic mix it is today. Listen to the internal and external influences while you enjoy delicacies such as "sfincione" (dough with onions, cheese, breadcrumbs, tomatoes and oregano), "panelle" (fried chickpea flour), "crocché" (potato croquettes), "arancine" (stuffed rice croquettes), "caponata" (sweet and sour dish made from fried aubergines, capers, olives, onions and celery) and the famous Sicilian cream rolls, the so-called "cannoli" (crispy bowl with stuffed sweet cheese, e. g.B. Ricotta). This trip will not leave you hungry or bored. Experience it in the company of family or friends and be convinced by the sweet dishes of the Italian pasticerrias, as well as other taste experiences, of the Sicilian cuisine.

Intimate insights into Palermo

Being able to look into the kitchens and discover small and large culinary secrets is more and closer than any city tour in an air-conditioned bus followed by canteen service. The Sicilian delicacies were a success! Gladly again next year.

Intime Einblicke in Palermo

A feast for the palate, unbelievable

If we still think back to it today, it was a palate explosion with all the trimmings.

Palermo Street Food Tour: Terrific

I recommend the tour without breakfast! The combination of sample appetizers and information about culture and history was also nice. I am happy to award 5 gourmet stars.

Palermo Street Food Tour: Grandioso

Good food is my passion

I try to get to know the typical regional cuisine everywhere in foreign countries. In Palermo there is an incredibly diverse range of things to do. This tour provides an overview and insight that a normal tourist can hardly get in such a short time.

We had the pictures drawn on canvas at home and everyone who comes into our apartment is speechless at first!
