Detailed description

Aeolian Islands by Boat - Day Trip to Lipari and Vulcano

Step into another world - the Aeolian or Liparic Islands are known for their lush vegetation and typical Mediterranean architecture. In 2000, the archipelago of 7 islands was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The islands are easily reached by boat from the north coast of Sicily - and if you want to make the most of your time, you can visit two of the Aeolian Islands in a day trip from Taormina. Our full day tour by bus & boat takes us first by road. In an air-conditioned bus, we will travel from the east coast to the north coast, taking in some of Sicily's most beautiful scenery, which will be commented on by our local guide. Finally, we arrive at the port of Milazzo, where we board an excursion boat for a short cruise to the Aeolian Islands. The crossing from Milazzo to Lipari takes about an hour. On board you will find all the comforts for a pleasant cruise. Once ashore, we enjoy a two-hour stay in Lipari and can walk directly to the old town with its archaeological park and cathedral.
