Swimming in the Keri Caves

Booking option: Zakynthos Half Day Tour by minivan & boat

The half-day tour takes us from Zakynthos Town to the south of the island, to the pure Kalamaki beach with soft, golden sand. We have now reached the Marine Park where, among other things, the hawksbill turtles are at home and protected. A knowledgeable guide will tell you all about these beautiful creatures together with the volunteers who patrol the area to ensure the survival of the turtles. We leave Kalamaki and drive through the main street of Laganas with nightclubs and restaurants as well as local souvenir shops. Laganas is one of the liveliest resorts on Zakynthos, the bay around Laganas is also part of the National Marine Park.

Here we board the small/medium sized glass bottom boat, and are taken to the Keri Caves. We have 20 minutes to swim right in front of the entrance to a very large cave. We continue the boat trip to Marathonisi (Turtle Island) and visit the small caves first before anchoring on the other side of the island at the small beach for a one hour stop. Please note that in summer it can get crowded in this little paradise. On the way back, the captain takes the boat close to the gorgeous island of Cameo (known as Wedding Island), which is one of the most beautiful sights of Zakynthos. Back on land, we set off in the MInivan for our last stop: the organic olive oil press Aristeon.
